    • Elsie January 24, 2017

Y’all give viola Davis an award and get her out the way, taraji come again next year dear, your close, now y’all know they ain’t going to nominate and let all these blacks win, aldo taraji and viola could of been nominated for lead actress and Octavia Spencer could of got best supporting actress

  2. ? + ✈ = ? January 24, 2017

    Moonlight ???????????????????????????????????????

    • Mother January 24, 2017

Yessss come through moonlight! I’m here for Naomi Harris snatching the best supporting actress gong

  3. GROWN!! January 24, 2017

SO PROUD OF MOONLIGHT✊?? *TEARY EYED*

  4. Jj January 24, 2017

Moonlight was just ok I thought it would be better but it was really slow and mr Ali’s performance was interesting but he was only really in it for 15 mins yet there was no full range I’m just surprised that everybody acting like this was as potent as precious because precious was sooooo great this was interesting and just ok it wasn’t pushed far like I thought it tip toed around the subject

    • ? + ✈ = ? January 24, 2017

Why!? Couldn’t you comprehend what was happening sis? Did they they have to break it down for you?

    • TheOnel January 24, 2017

Girl if you don’t take your a** back to school! Talk about a run on sentence. Not one period, comma, or apastraphe. You said a bunch of nothing in one breath. ???

    • Jasmine January 24, 2017

I agree. I think it is getting a lot of hype because of the gay agenda. It lacked the cinematography and appeal Brokeback Mountain had.

      • Madbrax January 24, 2017

and yet here we are with the black agenda. nominations based on skin colour not talent. causing a commotion and boycotting and crying to be rewarded without doing any of the work. #typicalblackbigot stfu b****

  5. S****** Blonde January 24, 2017

Let me guess, one of the black movies will win best picture and Denzel is going to win Best Actor. Coincidence?…No, they suddenly noticed that there are good black films, these awards shows are so transparent ?. Anyway, I hope my girl Viola takes the Oscar, and “A Man Called Ove” wins best foreign language film ?

    • yc18 January 24, 2017

Nooo actually La La Land will win best picture. Denzel is not going to win best actor. Viola will most likely win best actress this time.. She deserves this Oscar.

      • S****** Blonde January 24, 2017

You think so, Oscar’s so black this year ?

      • Amerikkka’s Most Wanted ~ Tyler January 24, 2017

        ^^ too soon ^^

  6. mr.m January 24, 2017

I never understand why “Allied” is not that big?
That movie is so damn good!!!

  7. Fashion Icon January 24, 2017

Moonlight is not that good i don’t get the hype. It is like those web movies on youtube i must say but well…..
Hidden figures a good movie very entertaining i think taraji p henson should have been nominated but well ….
That Ali guy is on Moonlight for a couple of minutes and he get a nom for supporting role ?? well ….
For Fences all the nom are well deserved

    • Starxavi January 24, 2017

It doesn’t matter how long you’re on screen. It’s more about the impact your performance has on the movie. Dame Judy Dench won a best supporting oscar for about 5 minutes of screen time before as well.

  8. JOHNVIDAL January 24, 2017

So glad to see so many nominations for Arrival. I´m surprised best actress for Amy Adams wasn´t one of them cause she is one of their darlings (and for a damn good reason, she´s so good).

Obviously great for Moonlight and for La La Land.

And I have to say I´m surprised at Hidden Figures nominations. it was been a well received film and an awesome success at the box office. But it didn´t look like it was going to be taken as a big factor for award season so far.

I´m glad Andrew Garfield finally got his deserved nomination for best actor even though this won´t be his year.

It´s been a long time since they nominated Nicole Kidman for the last time btw. Congrats. I hadn´t heard anything about that film until this week.

  9. Fancy BISH January 24, 2017

    Congrats to everyone! #OscarsSoRight #DiversityIsBeautiful

  10. BEYSTAN_ SINCE 1997 January 24, 2017

Yeasssss! I proudly supported all 3 of these films & encouraged all of my friends & family to go see them. It’s great to see (QUALITY BLACK FILMS) get nominated! I hope Viola Davis finally gets her due. I think she has a chance considering she isn’t competing against Meryl Streep in her category this year.

  11. Elsie January 24, 2017

Where is Janelle monae taraji and Jennifer hudson

  12. Casual January 24, 2017

I think Viola will win this time. I haven’t seen Fences yet, but I’m rooting for her anyway.

    • Amerikkka’s Most Wanted ~ Tyler January 25, 2017

Its good actually liked it better than hidden figures. Both were awesome tho.

  13. Adele4Life January 24, 2017

    That’s BS
Viola Davis was a lead actress… not a supporter one.
But it s like the Oscar just won’t respect us.

    • Starxavi January 24, 2017

I thought the same thing when I started seeing her nominations. I don’t really understand how they choose whether someone is supporting or a lead. But she definitely seemed like the lead actress in this movie, but they just may be why she will win in the supporting role. Her character was in support of Denzel’s character but she exceeded that position with her talent, therefore she has a great chance of winning!

    • JOHNVIDAL January 24, 2017

I think you just don´t understand how this works. They didn´t chose her for supporting actress. She, or her team, or teh film producers did. Because they thought she had a better shot at winning in that category. It is very common to do this. It happens every year. Black or not.

    • Madbrax January 24, 2017

      stfu dumb ass

  14. ???????Chile, take this “Itty Bitty Piggy” to the market and make sure you hold her hand while crossing the street!??????? January 24, 2017

Alright! That’s what I wanted to see. A little upset Trevante Rhodes didn’t get nominated, but I’ll take the good with the bad.

  15. Torrance January 24, 2017

I am through the Roof for Moonlight!

9 Oscar Nominations! Yall did it man!

    Everyone involved deserves it!

  16. steve January 24, 2017

How long was Lupita in 12 years a s****? Yet she won. People just love to talk. I guess we are all entitled to our opinions. Oh well!

  17. #TeamTinashe Stan January 24, 2017

This was done by FORCE. Doesn’t feel organic to me.

    • Belladonna January 24, 2017

If you wait for organic you’ll be waiting another 40years. There raciest & they need to stop. So well done to the #OscarsSoWhite movement!

  18. Shakira Stan January 24, 2017

Rooting for viola and Dav petal.

  19. settoz January 25, 2017

I wonder if People Of Color got these Nods like, because of Pressure of the Public or because of Talent? Casey affleck didn’t get the nate parker Treatment from the Press although having Two Sexaul Assault on record, Well congra to all of them, I still believe that Birth of a Nation deserves a recognition from the Oscar let’s just be fair, when was musical started getting Nod in Best picture? Did dreamgirls get that Best Pic ? *smh* anyway what do I know I live in africa the only thing I’m good at is selling apples on the streets

  20. Now time yca ritish wauyzbi January 27, 2017
