Music lovers are in for a royal treat courtesy of Disco Queen Gloria Gaynor bringing her riveting life story to the small screen via ‘I Will Survive: the Gloria Gaynor Story.’

Starring TONY Award-winning actress-singer Joaquina Kalukango as the titular character, the Lifetimebiopic will chronicle the diva’s rise to the top of music charts as well as her professional and personal lows including a highly publicized bout with cancer.

Kalukango leads a cast of familiar faces that includes TV heartthrob Lance Gross who will portray Gloria’s husband Linwood Simon.

Executive produced by Robin Roberts for Lifetime’s ‘Voices of a Lifetime’ slate, ‘Survive’ is set to dance onto screens on February 8.

Young, Famous, & African Season 3

‘Young, Famous & African’ is back for season 3 on Netflix and it’s bringing the pepper and spice.

A breakout hit, the series follows an eclectic collective of movers and shakers from the African diaspora.

With its third outing, friendships are fractured and trust shattered – with the cracks showing in earnest.

The returning cast includes Zari “The Boss Lady” Hassan, Swanky Jerry, Annie Macaulay-Idibia, Diamond Platnumz, Naked DJ, Kayleigh Schwark, Fantana, Luis Munana, and Nadia Nakai. 

There are new faces too. For, joining the collective are Kefilwe Mabote, Nollywood superstar Ini Edo, and businessman Shakib Lutaaya. 

Many fans are wondering if Khanyi Mbau is back in the mix. Time will tell.

Stephen 'tWitch' Boss and Family

Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss stepdaughter is taking up for her mom Allison Holker amid a blazing backlash over bombshell personal revelations she shared about her late husband.

As reported, the 36-year-old relayed how she discovered the ‘Ellen’ show DJ’s drug problem following his death from suicide in 2022. She also claimed to have discovered his experience with sexual abuse when he was a minor from an entry in his journal.

All disclosures made while promoting her new memoir, ‘This Far.’

The move jarred many, including family, friends, and fans, who labeled the decision to share such revelations as “exploitative.”

Close relatives blasted Holker and unpacked additional claims of her making the family sign NDAs at tWitch’s funeral and creating distance between them and his children with her.

tWitch’s mom was also angered and publicly declared that she wouldn’t let his “legacy be tarnished.”

Now, after Holker defended her actions, her 16-year-old daughter Weslie Renae is speaking up for her mom.

Halle Berry LA Fires

Halle Berry is doing her part to support those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.

As widely reported, the Southern California region has been engulfed by flames that have proven difficult to contain.

The result has seen many lose their homes and even their lives, with the death toll currently sitting at 10.

For others, there has been ample displacement after having to hurriedly evacuate.

Looking to assist, the Oscar-winner has announced that she is donating personal items to whoever is in need.
