Tiffany Haddish, currently in Georgia filming the forthcoming Disney movie ‘Haunted Mansion’ (also starring Owen Wilson and Rosario Dawson), stunned fans once news surfaced she’d been arrested for DUI after reportedly falling asleep behind the wheel Friday (January 14).

But as the story heat up headlines across the Web, many opted to forego joking about the funnywoman’s plight in shows of support as she’s been plagued with a number of publicized personal challenges over the last few weeks.

Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker may be juggling parenthood and their own successful TV careers (aboard ABC’s ‘Station 19’ and HBO Max’s ‘And Just Like That…’ respectively), but the husband-wife duo – over 20 years after first collaborating on the hit TV adaptation of the classic film ‘Soul Food’ – are still finding time in their busy schedules to join forces on screen.

Their latest tag team comes via the forthcoming thriller, ‘Safe Room,’  starring Parker.  Serving as Kodjoe’s directorial debut, ‘Safe’ sees Nicole portray a widow trying to protect her autistic teenage son from danger after he witnesses a break-in.

Ahead of its January 15 premiere on Lifetime, That Grape Juice caught up with the lovebirds to dish on the movie, that long-rumored ‘Soul Food’ TV series reboot, and so much more.

Ms. Pat‘s ascent continues.

The comedienne earned praise aplenty for her BET+ series ‘The Ms. Pat Show’ and has now added Netflix to her growing list of partners.

Next month brings with it the launch of the comic’s first hour-long stand-up special, ‘Y’All Wanna Hear Something Crazy?’

Arriving on the streamer on February 8, the hilarious feature sees Ms. Pat Remisince on growing up poor in Atlanta during the Reagan era, her five-day spell in juvenile detention, getting baptized multiple times at multiple churches for money, and a whole lot more.

 ‘The Proud Family’ officially returns next month!

Aptly titled ‘The Proud Family: Louder & Prouder,’ the eagerly anticipated revival picks up where the first show left off and will center around Penny and her family: parents Oscar and Trudy, twin siblings BeBe and CeCe, and her grandmother Suga Mama (who is in the mix alongside Puff).

Penny’s girls Dijonay Jones, LaCienega Boulevardez, and Zoey Howzer are back too.

Kyla Pratt reprises her lead role as Penny, while newcomers to the cast include Billy Porter, Keke Palmer, and EJ Johnson. 

As reported, guest stars appearing include Normani, Lizzo, Lil Nas X, Chance the Rapper, Leslie Odom Jr., Tiffany Haddish, Lena Waithe, Anthony Anderson, Gabrielle Union, and Debbie Allen.

The ‘Queens’ are back for their thrones.

Eagerly anticipated, ABC‘s new music drama is anchored by Brandy, Eve, Naturi Naughton, and Nadine Velazquez.

The show tells the tale of a group of friends who have a shot at reclaiming their glory years.

In the 90s, they performed together as part of the female rap collective – the Nasty Girls. Fast forward to the present and their lives are markedly different.

The series follows the quad as they navigate a new normal and the chance at another spell in the spotlight.

Lifetime’s forthcoming thriller, ‘Single Black Female,’ provides an updated take on the age old adage: “with friends like these who needs enemies?”

Starring Raven Goodwin, Amber Riley, and K. Michelle, the film chronicles the plight of a talk show host (Goodwin) trying to save herself from an obsessive assistant (Riley) who envies her celebrity.

After four years of marriage, Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry Wednesday (January 12) with the announcement of a split.
