Having already whipped up impressive TV ratings via her previous holiday-themed efforts (see: ‘A Very Vintage Christmas,’ ‘My Christmas Inn,’ ‘Miracle in Motor City,’ and others), Tia Mowry is literally putting her cooking skills to the test in the forthcoming film ‘Yes, Chef! Christmas.’

Also starring Buddy Valastro, Rebecca Amzallag, Scott Gibson, Raven Dauda, and Rothaford Gray, the festive flick follows a culinary instructor (Mowry) who finally musters the courage to enter an annual cooking competition. Later learning of a family secret that could derail her personal and professional aspirations, the chef must find a way to circumvent the impact of the newly revealed news while following her heart in more ways than one.

BET+ continues to make the season bright with a slew of new titles for its 2023 holiday slate.

Having already warmed hearts with the yuletide-flavored films ‘A Wesley Christmas Wedding,’ ‘Christmas Angel,’ ‘Sworn Justice, ‘Christmas Ringer,’ and more, next up for rollout is ‘Never Alone for Christmas.’

Directed by Kenny Young, ‘Never’ – which stars Mignon Von, Allen Maldonado, & GRAMMY-winning Soul diva Macy Gray – follows the “misadventures of a young couple who decide to call off their wedding just as the holidays begin.” Set to face season alone, the two separately decide to attend a Christmas retreat only to find the other is there alongside a new boo. The hilarious mayhem that ensues as a result is definitely one for the books.

OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) kicks off its 2023 ‘OWN for the Holidays’ slate of holiday films with ‘A Christmas Serenade.’

Starring Skye Townsend and B.J. Britt, the festive flick tells the story of a musician who returns to his hometown after many years and lands a gig as the minister of music at his home church.  The job leads to a reignited feud with a former nemesis (the pastor’s daughter) that surprisingly turns into a holiday romance.
