‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s seventh season may be weeks away, but that hasn’t stopped some of its stars weighing in on some of the drama set to rock its audience this month.
For, after her former pal NeNe Leakes took to numerous outlets to accuse the model of being more of a follower than a leader, Cynthia Bailey has been billed a “lap dog” by their costar Phaedra Parks.
How Parks attacked Bailey’s supposedly “wishy-washy” nature?
Rochelle Humes of Brit-Pop group The Saturdays has been enlisted to present this year’s ‘Children in Need‘ TV special, enlisted by the British Broadcasting Corporation to do so before the release of her group’s sixth studio album.
Forget Friday’s, it appears all the action takes place Thursday nights on ABC.
For, joining the established hits that are ‘Scandal’ and ‘Greys Anatomy’ is Shonda’s Rhimes’ new freshman series ‘How To Get Away With Murder’.
The legal drama, which stars Viola Davis, follows a group of ambitious law students and their brilliant criminal defence professor; the group become involved in a twisted murder plot that promises to change the course of their lives.
It all makes for a riveting watch. We’re already hooked!
Controversy has been stalking Phaedra Parks ever since husband Apollo Nida was convicted for fraud. And yet, even during his sentencing (which saw him locked away for eight years), the ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ star has maintained a measured silence.
Until now.
The mother-of-two stopped by the Ellen today and effectively spilled all.
She finally upped the volume on her reaction to Nida’s dealing and the effect on their children. Most potently, Parks confirmed that she is indeed divorcing her hubby.
The Mara Brock Akil drama is readying a return to BET for a second season (which was commissioned before its first even premiered). And, so as to warm up the masses, the network have unwrapped a new promo trailer.
R&B singer Teairra Mari may have been enlisted to pull in viewing figures, but it would seem the lesser known ladies that are Masika Kalysha (above) and Nikki Mudarris have done a far better job at doing that for the show in which she stars in…’Love & Hip Hop Hollywood.’
What changed? A shift in focus from a story line led by Mari and ‘Sexy Can I’ singer Ray J to Kalysha and Mudarris’ feud over fellow cast mate Jamal ‘Mally Mall’ Rashid, brought onto the Reality TV series as part of its recurring cast.
Will its episode six fare just as well when it arrives on October 20th?
One year after slavery movie ‘12 Years a Slave‘captivated movie goers and made a star out of actress Lupita Nyong’o, Black Entertainment Television (BET) have revealed that they are to launch a TV series named ‘The Book of Negroes‘,set to tell a story just as bittersweet.
As previously reported, the reality star is no longer part of the main cast on Bravo hit ‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ and will instead serve as an official “Friend Of The Housewives”.
Speculation has been rife, especially after Williams revealed that she was blindsided by the decision (and its subsequent announcement).
Clearing up the confusion, the creator of the Housewives franchise Andy Cohen has elaborated on the rationale.
Urban Hollywood is set to hit the big screen in a major way today – new movie ‘Addicted’ lands in cinemas and is serving up dizzying degrees of heat.
Boris Kodjoe joins the likes of Tasha Smith and Tyson Beckford in the movie adaptation of the Zane novel, which follows the lives of the sex-addicted.
Critics have praised the flick for sandwiching great acting performances between the ample amounts of skin and sensuality, rendering it a must-see for fans of its stars and beyond.
That Grape Juice caught up with Kodjoe and quizzed him about his role in the movie, as well as his own “addictions” – which interestingly include Beyonce, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and Jennifer Lopez.
