After offering fans their interpretation of Aaliyah‘s life and announcing it was do the same for Britney Spears, the company has learned of a report which claims to have scored the scoop on its plans to set its sights on the entertainer.
Lifetime have enjoyed huge hits with their biopics especially on pop culture – and they think Beyonce has the potential to be another one. No-one has yet managed to create a drama about Beyonce’s astonishing rise from a dreamer in Houston to one of the greatest artists of all time, through family sacrifices, group fights and her rollercoaster love life with Jay Z…and Lifetime feel they should be first.”
But their difficulty is getting an actress, who can sing and dance like Bey, to look, sound and act the part. They want the leading star to be as convincing as possible rather than getting hate from her fans.
“It is a delicate position for the network. If they make the film a critical acclaimed drama then they can score huge ratings and achieve global sales too. But if it they don’t, then that will be a PR disaster.
Lifetime is yet to deny this.

I think Beyonce is too young to have her story told; she hasn’t reached her prime and she has so much more to offer. Furthermore, I would prefer if a larger network like HBO, VH1, or even MTV would house her biopic. Lifetime doesn’t have a stellar reputation for representing anyone well and they do a deplorable job of executing the story of everyone’s life. Everyone deserves better than what Lifetime can and will offer!
A Beyonce Biopic would be very interesting.
Given that DC Beyonce is so different from the 34 year old Bey we know now.
She was houston ghetto, super funny, shady, a lil self-centered, and very hard-working (still is hard working).
Now she’s laid back, kinda mysterious, media-trained, classy but no f**** given Beyonce.
So it would be interesting to see how they showcase her growth both in personality and brand, her relationship with Jay-Z ect
