If Ice Spice fans weren’t already itching to get their hands on her eagerly awaited debut album ‘Y2K‘ (due on digital shelves July 26), her high-octane performance at the BET Awards on Sunday night (June 30) likely sent their collective impatience into overdrive.

Ahead of the showing, Spice (born Isis Naija Gaston) took to the event’s red carpet to chat it up about her Versace gown, expectations of the night, and more.

While chatting it up with ET’s Deidre Behar, Gaston coyly discussed an unnamed collaboration she “locked in” and responded to rumors the duet partner was none other than Pop megastar Taylor Swift.

The nearly six-year wait for a new album from R&B veteran Marsha Ambrosius came to a close on Friday (June 28) with the arrival of the anxiously awaited ‘Casablanco.’

Delivered courtesy of Aftermath/Interscope Records, the 11-track LP – preceded to Billboard 200 chart battle by singles ‘The Greatest,’ ‘One Night Stand,’ and ‘Greedy’ – serves as the 9x GRAMMY nominee’s fourth studio effort (the follow-up to 2018’s ‘NYLA).

Executive produced by the legendary Dr. Dre, the genre-blending project was reportedly three years in the making.

“Dr. Dre dared me to dream bigger and aim higher. CASABLANCO took on a life of its own once we grasped the concept. The ideas just kept coming, and everyone was on the same page at the same time,” she said.

Viewers are still buzzing about the EPIC tribute to Usher at the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday night (June 30).

An exquisite toast to the groundbreaking R&B star’s 30-year career, the event’s organizers called on some of this generation’s best and brightest stage blazers to render rocking renditions of his greatest hits including ‘Nice & Slow,’ ‘U Make Me Wanna,’ ‘Superstar,’ ‘There Goes My Baby,’ and more.

And while the likes of Tinashe, Chloe Bailey, Coco Jones, KeKe Palmer, Donald Glover, and Marsha Ambrosius took turns making the audience drop jaws at their respective performances, it was the ‘Bad Girl‘ combo of Teyana Taylor and Victoria Monet that drove viewers at-home and in-person absolutely wild.

As social media continues its collective tongue-wagging at their sultry tag-team, the dynamic duo took to Instagram to give each other praise for the show-stopping moment.

The reverberating impact of Beyonce‘s Country album ‘Cowboy Carter’ was present in more ways than one at the BET Awards 2024.

Indeed, beyond Queen Bey’s nominations and wins, Black Country artists featured on the set harnessed the buzz around their involvement on the blockbuster LP into performance slots on the main telecast.

Case in point Tanner Adell, who joined Beyonce on ‘Blackbird’ alongside fellow Black female acts Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy, and Reyna Roberts.

That Grape Juice was live at the BET Awards 2024 and caught up with Adell, who praised Beyonce for knocking down boundaries.

Perrie Edwards ís hot on the promotional trail for her latest single. ‘Tears.’

The singer and former Little Mix member has unleashed the psychedelic video for the song that features plenty of 60s and 70s nostalgia, including trippy visuals and colorful outfits.

Speaking on the release, Edwards said:

“This song is about coming out of a bad situation and letting go of what has happened in the past. It’s that point where you feel empowered, and you leave the tears behind because you’ve come out the other side. It’s a sultry and smooth track that I’m really excited for you all to hear.”

The song follows her top 10 hit ‘Forget About Us.’
