Under her Spike Tee moniker, Teyana Taylor self-directs a gripping music video for her newest song, ‘Still.’

Lifted as a tribute to victims of police brutality including Emmett Till, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Elijah McClain, and more, Taylor took to Instagram Wednesday (September 2) to trumpet the clip’s arrival and speak about the inspiration behind it.

“We are STILL emotional. We STILL keep fighting for love, justice. Yet we STILL keep losing our beautiful black lives. Where’s our healing? #STILL official video out now! I shot this video a few months ago & its crazy how to this day our cry for love is STILL so relevant today and plans to be for a very long time smh!WE DEMAND CHANGE!!! There wasn’t one day that went by in the editing room that I didn’t shed a tear. Smh. This project means so much to me and I’m honored to finally be able to share with you. Thank you to everyone Involved.”

Days away from the September 4 release of his fifth studio album, ‘Detroit 2,’ rapper Big Sean is hot on the promo trail in its support.

Most recently taking to ‘New York’ magazine, the GRAMMY-nominated rapper discussed a number of hot topics around his career including his support of Kanye West‘s political aspirations, rumored beef with Kendrick Lamar (as we reported here), and reflected on his relationship with late actress Naya Rivera.

Though he released an emotional statement shortly after the 33-year-old’s death (as we reported here), some of her fans labeled his comments attention-seeking as she was famously attached to his diss track ‘IDFWU’ (a song released after their highly publicized breakup).

Now, over five years after the controversial tune’s premiere, Sean is clearing the air.

English EDM stars Disclosure unveiled their third studio album, ‘Energy,’ on August 28 – much to fan delight. Just days ahead of its arrival (as we reported here), fans were gifted album cut ‘Birthday’ featuring Syd of The Internet and Kehlani.

As none of the LP’s singles outside of the Khalid-assisted ‘Know Your Worth’ have entered the Hot 100 to date, the brotherly duo are giving ‘Birthday’ just the push needed to change that narrative.
