The star has opened about her Mom Andrea‘s battle against the disease before. And together they’ve both aimed to raise awareness for research to combat it.
Normani opened up about her sentiments when she took to Twitter and wrote:

Today, the ‘Motivation’ songbird re-shared her loved one’s post about the diagnosis with “we got this mommy.”
Andrea, who first battled the disease at age 33 when Normani was 5-years-old, made clear that she will take fight with faith and belief that she will overcome:
