When not attempting to sting her Rap rivals, Lil Kim is embracing all that motherhood has to give.
Case in point these new snaps from the star’s first Halloween with five-month-old daughter Royal Reign.
The Queen Bee playfully paid homage her tag name with her outfit and that of her youngster’s.
Taking to Instagram, the 40-year-old (who released new mixtape ‘Hardcore 2K14’ back in September) shared a number of snaps and gushed:
Yesterday was my baby’s first Halloween and the Queen Bee and Baby Bee were buzzing in the neighborhood trick or treating!!!
(It was) so fun and special with my lil’ bee. I can’t wait for next halloween!!!

From The Vault returns this week with one of Kelly Rowland’s signature hits; it’s the worldwide smash ‘Work’.
The third single’s off Rowland’s sophomore album ‘Ms. Kelly’, ‘Work’ in its original form was produced by Scott Storch but was pushed around the world in its Bollywood-inspired remix courtesy of British DJs the Freemasons in early 2008.
Despite not receiving a formal US release, the cut still it made ample waves in the rest of the world. Indeed, in its remixed incarnation, it reached the Top 10 in the UK (#4), France (#4), Australia (#6) and Turkey (#3) among other territories. It is one of the stunner’s biggest hits and is considered the catalyst for the next EDM-heavy step in her career.
The accompanying diva-fied of a video, directed by Philip Andelman, used silhouettes aplenty, neon lights, as well as stylised posing from Kelly and her dancers. The result? Mysterious and sensuous mise en scene, which goes hand-in-hand with the tempting lyrics of the song.
*********
With mother-to-be Rowland hard at work on the follow-up to last year’s ‘Talk A Good Game’, it seems she is ready to revisit the Dance sound that gave her her most successful solo moments. We, for one, are uber excited by this latest development. Still, from our vantage point, it would be wise for Team Kelly to create a sound that has its roots in the genre, while boasting soul and grit (so as to stay true to Rowland’s R&B roots). EDM, in its pure form, is swiftly departing airwaves around the world. Something akin to this very remix could do wonders on a global scale for the diva.
In the meantime, check out the original version of ‘Work’ below…
‘The Belle of St. Mark‘ writer Prince graced ‘Saturday Night Live‘ with his ‘Purple’ presence last night, touching down on the show to promote his brand new studio albums alongside Rock brand 3rdeyegirl.
No doubt hoping to push the modest sales of both releases with the appearance, his performance saw him flaunt his latest material on the 5th episode of the show’s 40th season.
How he fared?

Slithering its way even deeper into Pop culture’s nest is ‘Anaconda‘, the Platinum jam released by Hip Hop superstar Nicki Minaj.
For this week, the number found a new friend in Mariana’s Trench band member Josh Ramsay, who performed a unique rendition of the single The Edge New Zealand’s Guy, Sharyn & Clint Cover Challenge.
Why we’re hoping the next year sees Minaj deliver a performance similar to his?

Given Rihanna‘s talent deficiencies, the model has consistently crutched on a multitude of platforms to maintain relevancy.
One of the most notable has been Instagram.
Whether posing in the streets after a night of partying or throwing jibes at her chart rivals, RiRi has managed to use the ‘gram as her most powerful press tool. Indeed, her antics on the social media site seem almost designed to be headline grabbing — and it works.
As such, many were confused when the star abruptly blocked her profile from the public early this year. We weren’t, though.
From where we stand, it was a masterclass in press manipulation. For, when there’s nothing to promote, why be in folks faces? Lay low and reserve it until when needed.
And it appears that’s exactly what the diva has done.
This evening she reactivated her profile, much to the delight of her 12 million followers. The timing of the “return” and the inevitable articles it’ll spurn (such as the one you’re reading) has many speculating about whether it hints at the imminent release of Rih’s much delayed 8th album? Time will tell.
In the meanwhile, check out the 26-year-old’s first pics back below…
Cop a gander of Keri Hilson!
The R&B star serves as a late addition to the lengthy list of Hollywood names turning all the way up for Halloween 2014.
Channeling Ancient Egypt, Ms. Keri dressed as Nefertiti while her longterm boyfriend, basketball star Serge Ibaka, played Pharoah Akhenatan.
Love it!
Now, all we need is new music from Keri and soon. It’s been entirely too long. Too long.
And, because we feel like it, check out Hilson performing on That Grape Juice’s The Splash below…
Mariah Carey is Australia bound after wrapping up the first leg of her new tour ‘The Elusive Chanteuse Show’ in Asia this week.
Plagued by vocals issues upon setting set sail on the trek last month, the songbird has staged an impressive turn around and is earning rave reviews for her performances of late.
To thank her Asian fans for their support and whet appetites for the rest of the world, Mimi posted the following message along with behind the scenes pics:
To my Asian lambily, it’s almost impossible for me to express my gratitude and adoration. Thank you for sharing a musical experience with me that I’ll never forget! “You’ll always be a part of me.” Here are some behind the scenes moments from the tour!! LYM!!!! MC

The latest series of The X Factor UK continued in fine form tonight. With the Live Show segment of the season in full swing, the hopefuls are tasked on week 4 with pulling out all the stops to progress onto the next week. Judging the contestants are Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Mel B, and Louis Walsh.
Well isn’t this interesting.
As reported, a whose who of Hollywood was out in full force last night to celebrate Halloween. And with a multitude of different events taking place in parallel, it was a given that stars would run into one another.
Such was the case for Rihanna and Ashanti, who posed it up together at a party.
Intriguingly, besides a ensemble song for ‘Stand Up To Cancer’ back in 2008, the ladies paths have never crossed before. Unique given the similarities their careers have.
Indeed, Ashanti rose to prominence on Def Jam as part of a collective – Murder Inc / Rihanna is currently signed to the same label by way of Roc Nation. What’s more, Rih is routinely touted as a “rival” to the better-selling Beyonce, who once upon a time was the main chart-thorn in the side of Ashanti’s dominance. Clearly, much has changed since then – although Bey’s “step ahead, level above” status continues plague both ladies. Nonetheless, we digress…
Is it us or could both stars benefit from what the other has? Ashanti from Ms. Fenty’s ability to stay commercially relevant and Rihanna from Ashanti’s vocal strides? They should mingle more…
Tinashe is riding the wave of critical success with her debut album ‘Aquarius’, so much so that the current is carrying her to European shores for a headline tour.
