The third and final U.S. presidential debate between hopefuls Donald J. Trump and Hillary Clinton, which aired live on October 19th, is still very much a hot topic among analysts and prospective voters alike.  But, while talk continues all the way until election day, another hot, yet unexpected topic arose from the two’s fiery debate:  Janet Jackson.

Indeed, after the Republican nominee hurled the insult “such a nasty woman” to his Democratic competitor, Google was set alight with searches for the pop queen and her 1986 hit.

In 2011 Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Lady Gaga earned a seat at a very exclusive table when her album, ‘Born This Way,’ sold over 1 million copies its first week.  Yet, while many celebrated the historic feat, others scoffed and scorned when reports revealed the album would’ve sold significantly less had it not been discounted to $.99 for a brief period of time during its premiere week.

Apparently Gaga remains unbothered by those critics as her latest album, the ‘Perfect Illusion’-led ‘Joanne,’ is getting similar treatment.  The project – her first to debut without a top 10 single leading it to shelves – will possibly get by with a little help from her friends…at Amazon:

We’re pretty sure when Jazmine Sullivan sang ‘Let It Burn’ she was not referring to the unforgiving Twitter roasting imparted to her social media handles all week.  Alas, the Grammy-nominated beauty has been burning up headlines for what many are calling an insensitive, self-centered eulogy she delivered via social media for the late gospel singer, “TC” Clay, who died last weekend.

Sprinkled with shade and some poor word choices, the backlash was so bad it led the songstress to delete the post and today return to the very social media platform where this trouble started to lend an apology.

Lady GaGa has revealed that one of the songs on her new LP was written to honour the short but impactful life of Trayvon Martin.

Slain by the serial criminal George Zimmerman, the teenager and his story stand as one of the many foundations of the Black Lives Matter movement which seeks to reshape America’s view of black people.

Azealia Banks former business partner RZA has stepped out to share his side of her Russell Crowe-fronted story.

Banks accused him of doing nothing after Crowe is said to have picked her up, spat at her and called her the N-word.

Quite interestingly, despite blasting Banks behaviour, much of RZA’s position falls in line with Banks….much to Crowe’s horror.

“Madonna and I are very different…”

While she is best known for her theatrical and (at times) over the top stage shows and music videos, Queen of Pop Madonna has seen her name line the credits of multiple multiplatinum albums as a contributing songwriter over her 30+ year career.  Recently nominated for induction to the 2017 Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Grammy winner’s live stage shows have seen her play drums, bass guitar, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and even a ukelele over that same three decade period.

For the previously mentioned reasons and more fans of the iconic pop star were none-too-pleased with Lady Gaga after the ‘Bad Romance’ beauty’s bad choice of words in a recent interview seemed to imply the Material Girl doesn’t write her own material:

Madonna and I are very different. Just saying. I wouldn’t make that comparison at all and I don’t mean to disrespect Madonna. She’s a nice lady and she’s had a fantastic huge career. She’s the biggest pop star of all time, but I play a lot of instruments. I write all my own music. I spend hours and hours a day in the studio. I’m a producer. I’m a writer. What I do is different.

Needless to say, the quote did not fall on deaf ears.  In fact, if the Twitter response is anything to judge by, the 30-year-old singer may have reignited the beef between herself and her nearly 60-year-old counterpart:

Lady Gaga is putting her artistry at the forefront with new album ‘Joanne.’

Boasting the singer’s rawest sound yet, the LP lands in stores in a mere matter of hours and could – according to some critics – serve as her most important effort yet. For a number of reasons.

In a bid to endear the public to the project, the 30-year-old has launched a new mini-series, aptly named ‘Making Joanne.’

The first episode was unleashed moments ago and features the singer, along with collaborators Mark Ronson and BloodPop, creating ‘A-YO.’
