Say what folk will about Iggy Azalea, but there’s no denying that she certainly knows how to commit to a concept.

The rapper’s sophomore album is titled ‘Digital Distortion’ – a homage of sorts to the social media melee that has muddied the success she enjoyed with debut effort ‘The New Classic.’

Lead single ‘TEAM’ is due on March 18th and, to whet appetites, the ‘Fancy’ femcee has unleashed its official cover. Check it out above.

We’re all about the music and the music alone here at TGJ, yet it would be remiss of us not to state the obvious – she looks like a character from The Sims here.

Perhaps that was the intention? Who knows.

Having blazed the stage at this year’s Super Bowl, Bruno Mars will be aiming to ignite the charts once again with his third studio album.

The follow-up to 2012’s ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’ is easily one of music’s most anticipated efforts – especially after the global blockbuster that was Grammy Record of the Year ‘Uptown Funk.’

Now, it appears, the as yet untitled project has a release window.

Mariah Carey doesn’t hold notes as well these days, but she sure can grip to a grudge.

The songbird is still no fan of Jennifer Lopez – some 14 years after her infamous “I don’t know her” interview.

Last week saw the topic brought up again when J.Lo stopped by The Wendy Williams Show. For, when quizzed about Mimi’s remarks, stage blazer Lopez branded her new label-mate “forgetful.”

Naturally, the verbal ping-pong is being cheered on and when Carey was spotted leaving an event honoring friend and filmmaker Brett Ratner, she was asked about the situation.

We love us some Janet Jackson here at TGJ, but her ‘Unbreakable’ era hasn’t quite lived up to its title. At least not yet.

Indeed, the campaign has been quite the rollercoaster; a #1 album and an A/C chart-topping single launched the project. Yet, soon after postponements to its accompanying tour unhinged things and urgent surgery brought the entire US production to an abrupt halt.

And while said American dates have all been rescheduled (and even added to), it’s bad news for European fans.

The latest leg of the trek was supposed to kick off in Birmingham, England on March 30th and play to London and other major Euro cities thereafter.

However, in an announcement by Ticketmaster today, it has been confirmed that the dates have been cancelled.

In today’s shaky musical climate it’s extremely rare to hear of a release date for anything getting pushed forward.  But, with the buzz surrounding rapstress Iggy Azalea‘s comeback single, ‘Team,’ she’s proving herself to be the exception.

Taking to Twitter to lend the announcement, Azalea’s fans – affectionately nicknamed Azaleans – were pleased to find out they’ll be able to get their eyes and ears on the first official release from their leader’s sophomore album a bit sooner than expected.

We’re getting closer and closer to getting our hands on new music from Maxwell.

After sending fans into a frenzy a few weeks ago with the announcement his new album (the second of the ‘blackSUMMERs’night’ trilogy) was due this year, some of those fans may have gone into cardiac arrest after learning the dapper divo will be a headliner at the 2016 Essence Music Festival.

With all signs pointing to proof the R&B crooner’s return was imminent, he took to Instagram over the weekend to silence the rumors by not only giving fans a taste of what to expect from the project’s first single, but also to share news they’ll be hearing it in full…very soon.
