Surprise on isle number five!

Beyonce shocked shoppers at a Massachusetts Walmart last night, descending on the store to celebrate the physical release of her blockbuster new album.

Like the digital release that preceded it, the arrival of the double-disc edition of the “visual LP” was very much an event – with King B not only picking up a copy herself, but awarding all 750 customers in the branch $50 gift vouchers to spend in-store (total worth $37,000).

We love us some savvy promo here at TGJ and this is great PR at its best; especially in light of the shade certain stockists are throwing due to the exclusivity ‘Yonce awarded iTunes. And while it remains to been seen if said stockists will embrace the Holiday spirit, what is certain is that moves like this will keep the star “winning” and then some.

We are just one week away from the Vegas debut of pop mannequin Britney Spears.

As such, the buzz around E!’s accompanying documentary, ‘I Am Britney Jean’, has been building in anticipation for the residency’s December 27th kick off. As previously reported, the tell-all special, set to air December 22, will see Brit behind the scenes preparing for her Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino gig via footage of the ‘Sometimes’ singer finishing up her ill-fated ‘Britney Jean’ album, shooting music videos, hitting the dance studio, and being a mom.

Fans ready for their first inside look at the doc should tuck in below for an extended 6 minute teaser featuring Britney ‘returning to form’ with some intense choreography lessons.

As fans know, Target may have been a huge celebrator of pop superstar Beyonce‘s ‘4’ album, but it’s self titled follow-up cannot boast the same.  In a well-publicized decision, the huge retailer opted against carrying the singer’s 5th album citing unfair ‘preferential treatment’ to Itunes (which exclusively carried the digital version of the album upon its December 13th surprised release).

Now, in another blow to the album, the largest online retailer Amazon has also joined the boycott against Columbia and Sony by refusing to carry the physical copy of the album on its online shelves.

The ‘V.S.O.P.’ performer lends a stirring Christmas original in the form of “Christmas Night”, but it – just like frienemy Tamar Braxton‘s ‘She Can Have You’, gleams in the theme of ‘holiday heartbreak’.

Lifted from Michelle’s mixtape ‘A Rebellious Christmas’, the song is available on iTunes now as part of the 5 song set, which also includes one other original song and 3 covers of holiday favorites like “O Come All Ye Faithful.”

Autotune-assailant T-Pain returns with new music via a new video for “She Said” – the latest from his new album ‘Stoicville: The Phoenix’ (set for 2014).

The risqué video see Teddy P sit in the director’s chair to enjoy what seems to be the talents of a scholar.  A surprise ending, however, shows that those talents may be directed elsewhere.

With 1 million units sold worldwide in the last week, demand for Beyonce‘s self-titled new album reached a new high today when its physical version became available for purchase across the globe.

So, as to land themselves a piece of the Pop star’s commercial pie, Howard Schultz‘ ‘Starbucks’ have stocked its stores with copies of the album today, giving the performer a fresh competitive advantage in the United States!

Miley Cyrus takes to Instagram to tease her brand new video for the single ‘Adore You’ today, perhaps hoping to push the ‘slow burning’ sales of new album ‘Bangerz.’

Set for release on December 26th, the clip’s teaser has already generated 225,979 ‘Likes’ since its unveiling an hour ago, and – if it goes to fare just as well as ‘Wrecking Ball‘- may prove troublesome for Beyonce’s budding smash ‘Drunk In Love.‘

Lady GaGa‘s millions of Monsters may be awaiting the video for current smash ‘Do What U Want’, however it appears the eccentric star is still putting the finishing touches to the hotly anticipated clip.
