The pair, who are currently pushing their respective projects ‘A.K.A’ and ‘The New Classic’, saw their promo paths cross last night in Chicago when they were both on the bill at the B96 Pepsi Summer Bash.
Following ‘Fancy’ femcee set, Iggy ushered out J.Lo and together the duo performed ‘Acting Like That’ from the latter’s new LP – which impacts retail stores on Tuesday (June 17th).

When placed next to R&B it girls old and new, Sevyn Streeter stands as one of her genre’s more promising acts, boasting an authentic crossover appeal her Chris Brown-backed ‘It Won’t Stop’ continues to benefit from.
Indeed, while a number of her genre’s newbies vie to become the next Aaliyah while only getting as far as Cassie, it’s safe to say that with enough radio backing and a sizeable enough budget, Sevyn may just become the world renown R&B star the last decade has been missing.
Why we can’t enough of the former ‘Rich Girl’?

As the world celebrates Father’s Day, so too are two of our favourite divas.

Having warmed the masses up with recent single ‘Every Little Word’, 19-year-old wonder MNEK is back with follow-up ‘Wrote A Song About You’.
Renown for penning tracks for the likes of Kylie Minogue and Little Mix, the aptly titled track sees the Londoner shift the focus to his own project – and what a project it’s shaping up to be.
Boasting a unique fusion of Pop, EDM, and Soul, the eclectic cut should go some way in garnering the rising star even more fans.

When art imitates life.
While many artists claim to sprinkle real life narratives in their music, Robin Thicke is going the literal route.
The singer’s reps confirmed this week that his new album has been christened ‘Paula’ – after estranged wife Paula Patton.
Together for over 20 years, nine of which have been in a married capacity, the couple announced their separation this year – with Thicke publicly shouldering the “blame” and launching a campaign to ‘Get Her Back’. In line with his new literal approach, the latter is the actual title of the crooner’s recent single; one that garnered headlines aplenty following a live performance at the Billboard Music Awards back in May.
Still pushing the personal agenda, it appears the ‘Blurred Lines’ belter is gearing up to unleash the LP sooner than expected.
Taking to Twitter moments ago, he posted the following image…
Thus far, Trey Songz is yet to turn his R&B water into global wine to enjoy the international acclaim scored by the likes of Chris Brown and “Burn” star Usher.
Jarring when one realises he stands just one “Fine China“-sized hit away from doing so, those who doubt the star”s potential as a world renown act need look no further than iTunes R&B”s UK tally, which the entertainer now dominates with his new LP “Trigga.”

“I wish I was dead already.”
The above, believe it or not, are words uttered by ‘Born To Die’ belle Lana Del Rey, revealing-much to the surprise of her fans- that she no longer wants to live in the world as she knows it.

After a brief rest on the bench, Cover Star returns this week with crooner Desmond Dennis doing this thing to Nicki Minaj‘s latest hit ‘Pills N Potions.’ How does he fare? Hit ‘PLAY’ below to find out…
Nice.
Receiving a mountain of submissions of covers of the tune, Desmond’s stood out for one simple reason: it actually sounded good. Offering sung/rap verses, his take on the tune certainly served mini-doses of TGJ favorite Elijah Blake.
Be that as it may, Dennis made the song his own. Do your thing boy, we ain’t mad!
