In an era which sees artists needing to evolve or evaporate, Ne-Yo has emerged as one of the prime acts embracing a multitude of sounds. Indeed, from R&B to EDM, the Motown hitmaker has quite the varied catalogue.

However, experimentation doesn’t come without it’s drawbacks. For, with each recent release, the singer-songwriter has received ample backlash from those claiming he’s “abandoned his soulful roots”. Despite being an ironic stance, as his latest LP ‘R.E.D’ was very much an Urban affair (lead single aside), it’s one that doesn’t seem to be going away for the masses.

Currently in the studio, Mr Smith told Good Day Atlanta that he’s readying the remedy.

For, after Tamar Braxton won over the brokenhearted with her slow-jam of a Christmas tune ‘She Can Have You’, we now have ‘Ain’t No Way’ – the new holiday-themed tune from Atlanta beauty Dondria.

Flexing a vocal prowess tuned well beyond her years, Phatfffat’s vocal performance rings clear as a bell over the @SongwriterTC-penned tune.  We’ve certainly added the number to our list of new Christmas faves here at TGJ HQ.  Will you?

Global superstar Lady GaGa lived up to her billing last night in London town where she rocked Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball 2013 with a rousing set.

Mother Monster was tapped to headline the two-day extravaganza at the O2 Arena, which no doubt serves as a major coup for her newly released ‘ARTPOP’ LP.

First Rihanna & Shakira, now this?

The night was set alight with word that Grammy winning pop superstar Lady Gaga was on board to duet with ‘Womanizer’ wailer Britney Spears – a concept first brought forth by Spears in a recent chat interview with her devoted fans.

With Spears already listing Madonna, Christina Aguilera, P!nk, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, and Rihanna to her lengthy list of female collaborators, the self-proclaimed Femme Fatale’s inclusion of Gaga would certainly seem fitting.

Elsewhere in the blog-o-sphere, news surfaced that ‘Body Party’ beauty Ciara has been eyeing a collabo with long-time idol Janet Jackson.  As both singers have albums reportedly due in the next year, this is certainly a combo we could see happening.  But, can you?

#BritneyArmy and Little Monsters were sent into a frenzy over the weekend when ‘Work B*tch’ beauty Britney Spears unveiled that her ‘dream duet partner’ would be none other than pop eccentric Lady Gaga.

Spears, in full swing of promotions for her 8th studio effort ‘Britney Jean’, answered the question (amongst a host of other fan driven questions) aboard a live chat last night much to fan delight.

As the critics continue to shower praise on her R&B #1 ‘Body Party‘, R&B Queen Ciara has announced that she hopes to collaborate with ‘Twisted Elegance’ entertainer Janet Jackson, doing so in a conversation with the ‘Peoples Choice Awards.’

A life long ambition of the ‘Overdose‘ darling, her desire to hit the stage with Janet comes as the icon reportedly continues work on long awaited comeback effort and as the aforementioned ‘Party’ prepares to be praised once Billboard’s ‘Year End Charts’ for 2013 are published.
