As September looms, so does the music industry’s all-important “fourth quarter”. It’s a release window which, this year, brings with it a bevy of big releases – including the chart comeback of a certain Christina Aguilera.

And while little has been disclosed about The Voice star’s new project, the singer took to Twitter today to share a snap from the video set of the LP’s first single.

Word has it the track (reportedly titled ‘Your Body’) is to premiere early next month. And given that its video is being shot now, there’s every chance the song could launch alongside the visual for maximum impact. Exciting times, ay?

Tomorrow brings with it the world premiere of Mariah Carey‘s video for comeback single ‘Triumphant’. Given the cut’s chart run (or lack there of), the arrival of its accompanying visual couldn’t come at a more apt time.

With two #1 albums, a world tour, her own production company and a beverage line in the works, there’s no denying Nicki Minaj‘s burgeoning commercial pull.

So, perhaps in realization of her rising influence, FOX’s ‘American Idol‘ have reportedly called on the Rapper to sit on their judging panel, alongside ‘Prisoner Of Love‘ diva Mariah Carey.

Set to announce the news this evening, Minaj’s alleged joining of the show has thus far struck opinion between both her fans and supporters of the show- responsible for birthing the careers of Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Fantasia.
