With ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ coming closer to its final episode on May 25th, many people have begun to reflect on iconic moments that occurred during its incredible 25-year run. One such moment has the honor of being this week’s From The Vault pick – Patti Labelle’s early 1990s performance of ‘Over The Rainbow’ alongside Oprah herself!

Patti absolutely nailed that performance! Her voice was (and still is) so powerful that she could have easily performed without a microphone!

I can’t think of a single younger singer today who can do what Patti did on that stage with such range, power and control. I just…

As if Rihanna and Britney Spears‘S&M’ remix wasn’t comical enough, the red-haired star has hit out at suggestion that Spears sounded “nasally” on the track. How ironic.

While calling in to 92.3 NOW FM to promote the collabo, Not Beyonce was bluntly informed by host DJ Lil Cee that masses aren’t feeling Spears’s contribution to the record – regardless of its iTunes standing.

As earlier reported, Lauryn Hill‘s set at the Coachella Music & Arts Festival today didn’t impress in the way fans had hoped.

Indeed, the former Fugees star often appeared out of breath, with her much-loved material almost unrecognisable amidst new melody arrangements.

A new album from Lauryn Hill may not be a good idea after all. The singer delivered yet another disappointing performance at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in California yesterday, struggling to sing her classic material which she distorted with new arrangements.

Check out the official cover for Lady GaGa‘s hotly anticipated ‘Born This Way’ LP. The cover for the set, which arrives in stores on May 23rd, was shot by noted photographer Nick Knight.

While very GaGa (who else would morph into a motocycle?), yours truly is struggling to see the connection to the album’s title. All a bit random, I say. Still, odd cover or otherwise, the record will no doubt be flying off shelves come next month.

Despite turning 45 next month, Janet Jackson‘s work ethic shows no signs of slowing down.

Taking a brief break from her sell-out ‘Up, Close, & Personal Tour’, the Pop icon hit up Book Soup in West Hollywood yesterday (April 15th) to promote and sign copies of her New York Times Bestseller ‘True You: Finding & Loving Yourself’. Fans are said to have queued around the block for a chance to meet the superstar diva.

As earlier reported, popular demand has seen Jackson’s tour has been extended to the Fall.

Who is the undisputed King of R&B? R. Kelly of course! The most successful R&B artist of the last 25 years recently graced the stage on Netherlands’ ‘X Factor’ and belted out ‘When A Woman Loves’ from his gold-certified ‘Love Letter’ LP as well as his classic ‘I Believe I Can Fly’.

“Freedom is mine and I know who I feel!” or at least that is what Jennifer Hudson has been singing for the last few months in her Weight Watchers campaign.

However, it looks that the rising diva has put those words into action as she walked the streets of Los Angeles without makeup earlier this week, opting for an all natural appeal.
