This time last year UK music duo Right Said Fred was celebrating Rap superstar Drake for bringing their 90’s signature hit, ‘I’m Too Sexy,’ to a new generation via his ‘Certified Lover Boy’ #1 smash ‘Way 2 Sexy.’

That same elation wasn’t exactly extended to another one of music’s biggest names recently, however.

Look inside to see the criticism the twosome launched toward Beyoncé who also used interpolations of the 1991 tune in her 2022-released song ‘Alien Superstar’ (found aboard her latest history-making album ‘Renaissance’).

With Migos seemingly behind them for good, Quavo and Takeoff are looking to take off as a duo – as evidenced by the absence of Offset on the new album, ‘Only Built for Infinity Links.’

Released Friday (October 7), the 18-track set – preceded by housed tunes ‘Big Stunna,’ ‘Us vs. Them,‘ and the Gold-certified ‘Hotel Lobby’ – features Summer Walker, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Birdman, Young Thug, Gunna, and more.

And while there are quite a few numbers on the project that are getting fans talking, it seems none are doing so quite like ‘Messy,’ which is believed to contain disses to Yung Miami of the City Girls and Quavo’s ex, Saweetie.

“I said, “Caresha please” ’cause she too messy/ B***h f**k my dawg behind my back, but I ain’t stressin’/ You wanted the gang, you shoulda just said it, we would have blessed it/ Now shit got messy,” Quavo raps on the tune in seeming reference to Saweetie’s recent visit to Miami’s podcast, ‘Caresha Please.’

That’s not all he said.  Look inside to stream ‘Messy’ and its parent album courtesy of Apple Music.

When not helping her fellow chart-topping, Atlantan diva Ciara rock radios with ‘Better Thangs,’ you can find Summer Walker joining forces with an international crew of music stars aboard the new song, ‘Power.’

Also featuring Ayanna, SPINALL, and DJ Snake, the star-studded tune is found on the tracklist of the soundtrack for the short film ‘The Flipper’s Skate Heist.’

Just weeks after fans of each contributor first became acquainted with the inspiring tune, its official music video – directed by Charlie Buhler – made its way to the net.

DaBaby‘s latest album, ‘Baby on Baby 2,’ may be on track to being his worst performing studio album to date but that doesn’t mean the North Carolina rapper is ready to give up on the project just yet.

After delivering heavily conceptual clips in support of the LP’s housed tunes ‘Boogeyman,’ ‘Socks,’ and more (as we reported here), DaBaby (born Jonathan Kirk) is continuing in that same vein with the freshly released ‘Summa Dat.’

A turn up affair if ever there was one, Kirk flaunts his wealth in private jets, luxury cars, and more in the PHVZES-directed clip.

Look inside to let DaBaby remind you how he’s living in the energetic ‘Summa Dat’ video.

Four months after tag-teaming on the viral hit ‘Mind Yo Business,’ femcees Lakeyah and Latto are back to business – this time joining forces as assistants on the remix to the Nardo Wick number ‘Baby Wyd.’

Found aboard the deluxe edition of his summer-released debut album ‘Who is Nardo Wick??,’ the revamped version of ‘Baby’ sees the trio trade verses about longing for their lovers in the most intimate way.

“This that Mortal Kombat, I finish him, he met his match / Daddy, what you doin’? Come here, I been missin’ you / I wanna f*ckin’ lick on you / Swallow it, and sip on you / I was thinkin’ balcony, you know I love that penthouse view,” Latto spits on the Kid Hazel-produced cut.

With the highly anticipated, October 14 release date of ‘Till’ nearing, expect to see and hear much in the coming days about the film that chronicles the story of activist and humanitarian Mamie Till-Mobley and her son, Emmett Till, whose brutal murder is credited for putting a national spotlight on the civil rights movement.

Directed by Chinonye Chukwu, ‘Till’ stars Danielle Deadwyler in the lead role and features notable names like Whoopi Goldberg, Jalyn Hall, Frankie Faison, Jayme Lawson, Tosin Cole, and many more.

Already buzzing on the lips of industry analysts for its potential for Oscar gold in the 2023, the movie may also be set to land an Academy Award nod for the music that lines its soundtrack.

The first taste of that comes courtesy of GRAMMY-winning R&B diva Jazmine Sullivan who lends the power tune, ‘Stand Up.’ Hear it inside.

Asake mania has been magnetizing the masses to the Afrobeats star, who has quickly become an international phenom. Case in point the three-consecutive London shows the performer sold-out in minutes last week.

And while some would rest on their laurels, that isn’t the case for the omnipresent Nigerian stage blazer.

Because Asake has unlocked the video for ‘Joha’ – which is lifted from his critically-acclaimed album ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe.’

‘Must Be Nice’ hitmaker Lyfe Jennings must be in the mood for drama.

The R&B singer-songwriter, already on the lips of many for claiming he sang for infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer when the two were in jail at the same time, continues to hit back at detractors who suggest he’s using the murderer’s name for clout.

Earning side-eyes from critics for reflecting glowingly on the interaction (even referring to Dahmer as “the little homie”), Jennings spent most of the week on Instagram sharing a 3-part story about his experience with the man who killed and reportedly cannibalized mostly young men of color in the 80’s and 90’s.

And while interest in Dahmer’s gruesome story has been renewed thanks to the wildly popular Netflix series ‘Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,’ it’s also come under fire for being insensitive to the victims’ families.

Let Lyfe tell it, however, that criticism is misplaced as Jeffrey’s killings weren’t the only things doing damage to Black families at the time.  Read his statement inside.
