Readers of That Grape Juice know how passionate we are about music – whether that be past or present.

However, unlike our other segments – Retro Rewind, TGJ Replay, and From The Vault – The Pop Stop is the most in-depth look at Pop songs that may have flown under the radar over the last week that you should know, rather they be from music’s biggest stars or those on the rise.

This week, we want to highlight cuts from Kacey Musgraves, Kim Petras, Sigrid, and Boys World.

Outkast is celebrating.

On the anniversary of their ‘ATLiens’ project, they have shared a new animated video for their song ‘Two Dope Boyz (In a Cadillac).’

The new visual is a video game-inspired animated music video and features plenty of action throughout.

Despite drifting through several dimensions, the duo actually never lave Atlanta. Rather, it is the lyrics that transport the listener to another world.

In addition to the video, Outkast is repackaging the project with 14 previously unreleased instrumental tracks and a limited edition 25th anniversary 12 inch vinyl. A video game will also be released to coincide with the anniversary.

As longtime fans of music legend Diane Warren get acquainted with her long-awaited debut album, ‘The Cave Sessions’ (click here to stream), the Academy Award-nominated and GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter lifts the lid on the star-studded project’s next single – ‘Seaside.’

Featuring vocals from Rita Ora, Mexican superstar Sofia Reyes, and Mexican Pop band REIK, the Latin-infused track is the summery homage to relaxation and stress free living we didn’t know we needed.

“I’ll be seaside / Sitting on the sand drinking a Mai Tai / Waking up and soakin up the sunlight,” Ora croons on the tune’s catchy hook.

To commemorate the August 27 release of ‘See You Next Wednesday,’ the star-studded third studio album of Palestinian-Canadian rapper Belly, fans were introduced to the song’s The Weeknd and Nas-assisted cut, ‘Die For It.’

What’s more, the tune was brought to life via a post-apocalyptic music video directed by James Lareese.

Speaking on the collaborative venture, Belly shared:

“This collaboration felt like something special from the jump. Nas is someone I’ve always looked up to and learned from my whole life and getting a verse from him was definitely on my bucket list. An artist like Abel comes around once in a lifetime, being able to work with him has been one of my greatest blessings.”

The rave reviews for Jennifer Hudson‘s long-awaited transformation to Aretha Franklin for the Queen of Soul’s big screen biopic, ‘Respect,’ have already rolled in, but the Academy & GRAMMY Award-winning songstress is not resting on her laurels.

Despite having launched one of the year’s most extensive promotional campaign, J. Hud is still kicking – most recently turning her attention to the film’s companion album, the ‘Respect’ soundtrack.

Though lined with Hudson’s soaring renditions of some of Franklin’s most highly regarded numbers (i.e. ‘Chain of Fools,’ ‘Think,’ ‘I Never Loved a Man,’ and more), a standout of the 18-track affair is ‘Here I Am (Singing My Way Home)’ – its lone original song (and only eligible bid for Oscar gold).

Two weeks after unveiling the tune’s official music video (filmed at the iconic New Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles), the 39-year-old is inviting fans to see the behind the scenes action of the visual’s filming.

38 years after writing her first major hit (1983’s Laura Branigan’s “Solitaire”), legendary, GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter Diane Warren – who has penned massive hits for the likes of Celine Dion, Cher, Toni Braxton, Beyonce, Whitney Houston, and more – has finally released her debut album.

Titled ‘The Cave Sessions Vol.1,’ the August 27-released set sees Warren take center stage but still get by with some help from her celebrity friends including Dion, Maren Morris, John Legend, Santana, G-Eazy, Ty Dolla $ign, and many others.

The nearly 40-year journey is one Diane is most proud of.

“I am so excited to release this album which is like a microcosm of my career – writing songs in all kinds of genres of music for a wide range of amazing artists, many of whom I am thrilled to be working with for the first time and others with whom I’ve been delighted to work with before. I just love writing songs that reach across all genres…each song is like casting a role in a movie. But in the end, I always leave it up to the artist and how they want to do it,” she said.
