While the song has grown on me and vid looks pretty good, I’m left with other things on the mind. Evidently, Bad Boy have pumped the dollars into this video, yet their more successful and promising artists i.e. Danity Kane, Day26 and Cheri Dennis are rewarded with bargain bucket videos and promotion (I still can’t fully watch the atrocity that was the ‘Damaged’ video…terrible). SMH…

With the Pussycat Dolls video for their storming new single ‘When I Grow Up’ set to premiere any day now, Extra revealed this preview of the highly anticipated vid. Though not seen in the clip, Pop superstar Britney Spears is set to make a cameo:
Looks pretty good. The Nicole ‘Star of The Group’ concept is starting to jarr me ever so slightly, though (peep what the other chicks are wearing compared to her). I’m reserving judgement on that front until I hear more of their new material. I mean they’ve got to give Melody (the dark-er skinned member) something to sing, right?

While Rihanna gears up for the release of the the revamped version of her ‘Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded’ LP, a video preview of the tour DVD (which comes packaged with the set) has surfaced. Check out the German ad below, which includes footage from the 20 year old’s tour which took place internationally from December last year till early this year:
Can’t say I’ll be checking for this one. Prior to the release of ‘Take A Bow’ (which I still think is rubbish), I questioned what the point of a re-release was in the first place. However, ‘Take A Bow’s’ #1 charting both in the US earlier this month and over here in the UK now kinda answers that.

Exactly three years after release of Mariah Carey’s 2005 smash ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’, the Diva serves up her 11th studio effort in the form of ‘E=MC²’. Billed as the emancipation of the 38 year old superstar ‘to the next power’, the age old adage ‘sequels never top originals’ echoes loudly throughout the set. By no means bad, it’s worse – mediocre; which after associating itself with its career-rivalling predecessor, doesn’t bode well for the record overall.(more…)
You can now preview Mariah Carey’s hotly anticpated new album ‘E=MC²’ in its entierity over at Amazon. Judging by the clips, the record seems to have a few sure-fire hits. Of the tracks we’ve yet to hear, I’m really feeling ‘Cruise Control’, ‘I’ll Be Loving You Longtime’ and ‘For The Record’. Which tracks are you liking / not liking?
