While Gwen Stefani‘s latest single, ‘Let Me Reintroduce Myself,’ has enjoyed copious critic and fan acclaim since its December 7, 2020 release,  the Luke Niccoli-produced song has yet to reintroduce the songstress to the Hot 100 as a leading act.

To aid its chart narrative (and close the 5-year gap since her last solo appearance on the tally with 2016’s ‘Make Me Like You’), Stefani’s hit the promo trail on both sides of the pond with high octane live performances of the tune.

Despite threats of retirement due to ‘feeling under-appreciated’ (as we reported here), entries from Teyana Taylor‘s prized catalog are still getting love from record buyers.

Case in point? ‘Gonna Love Me.’

Found aboard her 2018-released sophomore studio album, ‘K.T.S.E.,’ the BoogzDaBeast-produced ‘Love’ – which cracked the top 10 of the Billboard R&B charts at the height of its popularity – stands as her highest charting effort to date (as a lead act).

Evidence of continued celebration of the cut was unveiled over at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) recently where it was announced the tune had been certified Platinum.

With a third week inside the top 40 set to be penciled on the refreshed Billboard 200, Jazmine Sullivan‘s ‘Heaux Tales’ narrative has already been labeled the R&B offering of the year.

To keep that story pushing forward, Sullivan has intensified her promo push for the project.  Over the last week, the GRAMMY nominee was spotted at a number of outlets across radio, Web, and TV with the latter’s highlight coming via a pit stop at BRAVO’s ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’ Sunday (January 31).

Legal woes continue to mount for one hit wonder Silento.

In September 2020, the rapper – best known for his viral 2015 hit ‘Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)’ – watched his name printed atop headlines after an arrest on charges of ‘assault with a deadly weapon’ for reportedly threatening people with a hatchet while in search of his girlfriend.  In October, he was jailed after local authorities clocked him driving over 143 MPH.

Just five months later, the 23-year-old (born Richard Lamar Hawk) is in police custody again – this time on murder charges.
