At just 16 years old, Marsai Martin continues to marvel.
Boasting a talent and drive that are undeniable, the young star has been consistently making major moves. Whether it’s in front of the camera or behind it.
It’s fitting, then, that she won twice at the 2021 NAACP Image Awards – taking home the honors for Outstanding Supporting Actress In Comedy Series and Outstanding Performance by a Youth for her role in ‘black-ish.’
That Grape Juice‘s Shar Jossell caught up with the multi-hyphenate star, who spoke on her win, shared advice for young talent, and dished on her new deal with Disney – the latter of which will see her produce comedy ‘Saturdays.’
Watch above and sure to check out the televised edition of the 52nd NAACP Image Awards, which air LIVE tonight on BET at 8/7c.
The show will simulcast across ViacomCBS Networks including CBS, BET Her, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV, MTV2, Paramount, Pop, Smithsonian, TV Land, VH1, BET PLUTO, and CMT.
