Lil Nas X says he’s heard the feedback about his new “Satan Shoes” and he’s subsequently issued an “apology.”

As reported, the performer teamed with MSCHF to create an unholy incarnation of the classic Nike Air Max ’97’s.

Deemed the ‘Satan Shoes,’ the limited-edition sneakers are touted as a collector’s item – with exactly “666” pairs produced.

Most shocking (beyond the $1,018 price-point) is the inclusion of Luke 10:18 Bible reference on the shoe  – which relays the narrative of “Satan fall(ing) like lightning from heaven.”

The arrival of shoe tallies with the release of Nas’ new single ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name),’ the video for which saw the star twerk on Satan.

Lil Nas X marked the release of his controversial new single ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ by penning an open letter to his younger self.

The 21-year-old came out as a member of the LGBTQ community at the height of the popularity of breakout smash ‘Old Town Road’ in 2019 and has increasingly used his platform to express himself as authentically as he can.
