Has American business and finance magazine Forbes written a critical check it can’t cash? R&B enthusiasts sure seem to think so!
The money mag took a break from counting coins to counting down the “25 Greatest R&B Artists of All Time,” a list that saw Queen of NeoSoul Erykah Badu crowned its reigning monarch.
And while expected names like Anita Baker, Sade, Mary J. Blige, Usher, Mariah Carey, and Brandy all made the cut (albeit in arguable positions and mostly below relative newcomer SZA), readers were stunned to see some of music history’s biggest names omitted.

Introducing a statement with “no shade” doesn’t mean it won’t be perceived as such – a consequence self-proclaimed ‘Queen of Da Souf’ Latto is learning royally thanks to response to her recent interview with Billboard.
Irv Gotti may be making more headlines for personal misses than professional hits over the last few years, but that’s not stopping the music mogul from attempting to clear his name.
Most recently, he learned he was the center of a lawsuit stemming from a Jane Doe who alleges he coerced her into performing sexual acts between 2020 to 2022.
Fed up with the negative press, Gotti clapped back at the accusations by not only denying wrongdoing but even threatening legal action of his own.

Donald Glover‘s goodbye to his longtime stage moniker Childish Gambino comes as a musical sendoff via the jam-packed album ‘Bando Stone & the New World.’
“It really was just like, ‘Oh, it’s done.’ It’s not fulfilling,” the actor-rapper recently admitted about the alter ego. “And I just felt like I didn’t need to build in this way anymore…I’m not 25 anymore, standing in front of a boulder like, ‘This has to move.'”
Released Friday (July 19), the 17-track affair – which comes as Gambino’s fifth studio effort and shares its name with Glover’s forthcoming film – is led to chart battle by the warmly received singles ‘Lithonia‘ and ‘In the Night.’
His first album in four years, ‘Bando’ boasts guest appearances from Flo Milli, Amaarae, Foushee, Yeat, Legend, and more.

However, unlike our other segments – Retro Rewind, TGJ Replay, and From The Vault – The Pop Stop is the most in-depth look at Pop songs that may have flown under the radar over the last week that you should know, rather they be from music’s biggest stars or those on the rise.
This week, we want to highlight cuts from Joe Jonas, Noah Kahan, Jimin, Blusher, Kiely Connell, and Samira .
