In honor of his 40th birthday this year (September 25), T.I. announced the release date of his long-awaited 11th studio album, ‘The L.I.B.R.A.’ (an acronym for ‘The Legend is Back Running Atlanta’).
Officially unveiled just three weeks later (October 16), the star-studded set – his first LP since 2018’s ‘Dime Trap‘ – was kicked off by the Young Thug-assisted ‘Ring’ and houses collaborations from the likes of Young Thug, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, 21 Savage, Jadakiss, John Legend, Killer Mike, and many more.
Though he managed to squeeze out multiple singles from the 20-track independent project across the last month, the only among them to boast entry on the Hot 100 is the Lil Baby-enlisted ‘Pardon’ (which has peaked at #97 to date). That troubling predicament was later underscored by industry analyst predictions that suggested ‘LIBRA’ would be his first album since 2001 to miss the Billboard 200’s top 20.
