For, fresh from the May release of fourth album ‘Good To Know,’ the soulful songbird has hatched an acoustic version…of the entire LP.

If you ask Meghan Trainor fans they’d be the first to tell you her January 2020-released third album, ‘Treat Myself,’ didn’t exactly get the best treatment on the Billboard 200 as it debuted at #25 (her lowest premiere placement to date).

While some point fingers at promotion, others blame the set’s singles.

Regardless, Trainor is repackaging the product for a July 17-release.  To kick start the deluxe era, the GRAMMY-winning songstress has unveiled its new cover and new song ‘Make You Dance.’

‘Smile’ serves as the title track of Katy Perry‘s long-awaited fifth album, the follow-up to 2017’s critically and commercially panned ‘Witness’ LP.

Released Friday (July 10) as the official second single from the new project, its arrival comes just weeks after its predecessor – ‘Daisies’ – blossomed as the singer’s 25th top 40 hit (as we reported here).  Hardly planted in the chart region, however, it quickly plummeted to the Hot 100’s lower half the next week and has remained there since (even found at #79 this week).

‘Love Galore’ singer SZA may be accustomed to just that from adoring fans who are impatiently awaiting the follow-up to her GRAMMY-nominated, 2017 debut album, ‘CTRL.’

However, while hard-at-work on the LP (reportedly due this year), the 29-year-old is admonishing critics who are limiting her style to the realm of R&B – a gripe sung by many-a-Black-artist.

As we reported here, SZA sizzled on the pages of the new ‘Wonderland’ magazine and now – thanks to quotes lifted from the accompanying feature article – is sizzling in the mouths of detractors who argue she may be overstating her importance in music.
