Tracee Ellis Ross trades the small screen for the big screen in ‘The High Note.’

The Universal Pictures flick sees the actress star as Grace Davies – a singer with a tall talent but taller ego.

Her overworked assistant, played by Dakota Johnson, is tasked with tending to her beck and call, but secretly has dreams of being a world-renown music producer.

Their worlds collide when one’s dream and the other’s reality calls a major decision to be made. One that could change their paths in more ways than one.

Tyler Perry has asked his fans to stand by him as he launches an investigation into the suspicious death of his nephew.

The young man was serving time after killing his father during an argument and was found dead after being placed in solitary confinement. Authorities claim it was suicide.

Today, Perry reveals that he has good reason to believe that there is more to the story as he is aware that his nephew isn’t the first African-American person to be found dead in suspicious circumstances while in police custody.
