This week is seeing Janet Jackson and her legions of fans celebrate the 30th of her groundbreaking ‘Rhythm Nation 1814’ album.

Released in 1989, the landmark set generated seven top 5 hits, four #1 singles, and charted #1 songs in three separate calendar years. Beyond its commercial success, it’s widely hailed for its powerful socially conscious rooting.

In honor of its undeniable impact, Jackson has poured a massive remix collection onto streaming services.

Comprised of over 80 tracks, ‘Rhythm Nation 1814: The Remixes’ blends rare mixes  with even rarer B-Sides and bonus bops – such as ‘The Skin Game.’

Jennifer Lopez is an established icon, having stunned in many a look.

However, few if any of her frocks can rival the iconic green Versace dress she wore to the Grammys in 2000.

Now, almost 20 years on and aged 50, the diva supreme proved she hasn’t missed a step.

She rocked the dress again tonight when closing the Versace Spring 2020 presentation at Milan Fashion Week. And she looked breathtaking.

Fantasia has unleashed the ‘Holy Ghost’!

The bouncy bop is the latest taste of the star’s 7th studio album ‘Sketchbook,’ due October 11th via her freshly formed indie imprint Rock Soul.

Arriving after singles ‘Enough’ and ‘PTSD,’ the track had been made available as an instant-grat offering to those who pre-order its parent LP.

Speaking on the set, the American Idol champion said:

“I’ve shared so much with the world but I feel that there is more still in this journey .. I’m still growing. In the sketchbook we’re still coloring out and painting it out the way I want to be seen, not allowing anybody else to take control of that journey. This sketchbook, what I’m showing through my music, no matter where I go, I want people to see that the painting is still being filled in and there’s many colors and many things to Fantasia that they still don’t know — especially music.”

The “Divine Miss M” got the dragging from hell on Twitter yesterday (September 19) when she took to the platform to assert the #Beyhive, Beyonce‘s beloved fan group, should “mobilize” to take down the president.

A seemingly well-intended tweet from the legendary Bette Midler – who has long made her distaste for Donald Trump well knowno – the responses suggest it was taken every way but.  Wielding fiery clap back from the fan group’s members, some cited data from the 2016 U.S. presidential election to assert that Midler’s suggestion for mobilization should be aimed elsewhere.

Not even 24 hours after its September 13 release, ‘Don’t Call Me Angel’ –  the highly anticipated collaboration of Pop stars Miley Cyrus, Lana Del Rey, and Ariana Grande – made a grand entrance atop iTunes sales and Spotify charts.

The first single from the Grande-curated soundtrack of the forthcoming ‘Charlie’s Angels’ reboot, industry analysts suggest the song is well on its way to soaring to the Billboard Hot 100 as one of the year’s highest debuts (possibly even landing on the list’s perch once first week sales, streaming, and airplay are tallied).

In a bid to ensure a strong premiere on the chart the diva syndicate are already pushing promotional efforts its way.  Look below to see a behind the scenes glimpse at the ‘Angel’s creation:
