It’s been over 8 years since Rihanna reigned over Billboard charts with her last studio album, ‘Anti,’ but the exhausting wait for new music from the singer-turned-beauty-mogul has led her beloved fans (affectionately called #TheNavy) to cling to her hits of yesteryear.

So much so, 4 of her biggest hits – ‘Needed Me,’ ‘Stay,’ ‘Umbrella,’ and ‘Work’ – worked their way across the Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) threshold for Diamond certification on May 31. “Diamond” denotes sales equivalence of 10 million in the United States.

Bringing her career collection of Diamond-certified songs to 6, the sum made her the vocalist with the most overall number of hits certified as high in the 71-year history of the RIAA.

And while Rih’s reign in the organization’s log didn’t seem poised to let up any time soon, not even three weeks went by before The Weeknd (born Abel Tesfaye) snatched the title.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is making room for 36 game-changing entertainment acts as part of its 2025 class.

Announced during a celebrity-studded press conference at Ovation Hollywood on Monday (June 24), names like Niecy Nash, Jimmy Jam, Joe Mantegna, and more were on hand to announce the list of entertainment professionals set to receive stars on the coveted walk next year.

From Country icon Keith Urban and music legend Prince (who will receive the honor posthumously) to ‘South Park’ creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone as well as GRAMMY winners Fantasia, The Isley Brothers, and others, look inside to see the megawatt tally of talent that makes up the newest Hollywood Walk of Fame inductee roster.

Usher was unwrapped as a surprise performer at the Birthday Bash 2024 in Atlanta last night (June 22).

The Diamond-selling R&B veteran was brought out by headliner Latto to serenade the capacity crowd with hits known and new.

Hitting the stage to rapturous applause, Usher lit up the venue with ‘Lovers & Friends’ and delivered a rousing rendition of ‘Good Good.’

The hitmaker, who kicked off the year slaying the Super Bowl Halftime Show, seized the moment to give Latto (who he collaborated with on new song, ‘A-Town Girl’) her flowers. A brief tease of ‘Superstar’ followed.
