Cardi B may have rapped she doesn’t “need more press,” but more press is exactly what she’s gotten thanks to testimonies from an ongoing trial that’s seeing imprisoned rapper 6ix9ine – in cooperation with federal investigators – fire off a list of names of fellow entertainers who are gang-affiliated.

Fans familiar with his case are aware the 23-year-old is facing 47 years in prison for gang-related activity including racketeering.  Reports have it his testimonies as an informant will help reduce, if not completely eliminate, that potential sentence.

Making headlines for pointing fingers to rappers Jim Jones and Trippie Redd for their alleged gang activity (which both parties later denied), 6ix9ine also listed Cardi B (as we reported here) as a member of the Bloods gang potentially connected to illegal activity.  Shortly thereafter, the rapstress’ label home – Atlantic Records – took to press to deny her relationship with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods (click here to read).

Now, Cardi’s speaking on her own behalf. See what she said inside:

Kanye West may not be big on cracking smiles, but one peek at Forbes’ ‘Highest Paid in Hip Hop’ list should definitely give the hitmaker a reason to flash those pearly whites.

For the first time ever, the ‘Gold Digger’ creator – thanks to the gold mine he’s struck in music and fashion – finds himself atop the finance mag’s list of highest earners in the genre.  Leading a tally that mentions the likes of Drake, DJ Khaled, Nicki Minaj, and many more, the 42-year-old raked in a whopping $150 million over the last year.

What’s more?  He’s set to see that figure increase by the time his earnings are tallied next year.  Until that time, look inside to see who joins him on the exclusive list:

6ix9ine is on a roll, much to the detriment of many of his former affiliates.

Born Daniel Hernandez, the ‘Dummy Boy’ rapper is currently facing up to 47 years in prison but could see that time reduced to little as nothing if he cooperates with federal investigators.  Having already named rappers Jim Jones and Trippie Redd as gang affiliates, now Hernandez has his sights set on Cardi B.

Tank enjoyed a resurgence of sorts thanks to his 2017 LP ‘Savage,’ which features the platinum hit, ‘When We’ (his first Hot 100 entry since 2007’s ‘Please Don’t Go’).

Looking to capitalize off the renewed interest, the R&B singer-songwriter has lifted the lid on news surrounding its follow-up, ‘Elevation.’  Arriving courtesy of Atlantic Records, the set – preceded by singles ‘I Don’t Think You’re Ready’ and the Chris Brown-assisted ‘Dirty’ – is scheduled to hit stores just a week after the crooner sets sail on the North American ‘Sketchbook’ tour with Grammy winning songstress Fantasia (click here to see dates).

Lizzo is the name on everyone’s lips – and a pretty firm fixture on their playlists too.

The Houston native has come to embody the age old reality that most “overnight successes” are indeed years in the making.

A hustler on the indie circuit for almost a decade, her eventual signing to a major label didn’t yield immediate fruit.

And while the viral-ness of catchy jam ‘Juice’ was initially hoped to become her big break, it was a song from three-years prior that would not only become her breakthrough – it became a Billboard #1. That track being ‘Truth Hurts.’

With the song currently enjoying its third week atop of the tally, the 31-year-old covers the latest issue of Billboard Magazine – which dubs as the Grammy 2020 preview edition.

Her appearance is notable given that despite its age and availability in the marketplace, ‘Truth’ is eligible in major Grammy categories – given that it was added on the deluxe edition of her major label debut ‘Cuz I Love You.’

Head below for snaps from the stunning Heather Hazzan lensed spread, as well as word from Lizzo on everything from her rise to Pop prominence, her approach to performance, and much more.
