After a one-week vacation from the top thanks to a temporary ousting by Post Malone & Ty Dolla $ign‘s ‘Psycho,’ rapper Drake‘s back at #1 with his unrelenting hit, ‘Nice For What.’  As usual, a handsome mix of radio airplay, digital downloads, and streams (powered mostly by the latter) led to the Grammy winner’s recapturing of the top spot.

Billboard reports:

‘”Nice,” released on Young Money/Cash Money/Republic Records, revisits the Hot 100’s top spot, as it rises 4-3 on Streaming Songs (31.6 million U.S. streams, down 8 percent, in the week ending June 14, according to Nielsen Music)…6-4 on Radio Songs (87.5 million in audience in the week ending June 17)…10-7 on Digital Song Sales (20,000 downloads sold, down 3 percent, in the week ending June 14)…’

The move, as we forecasted here, gave him just the push he needed to surpass Michael Jackson‘s Hot 100 record.  That’s right, with just five #1s to his credit, Drizzy’s now entered history books with the second most weeks at #1 among males.

Refreshed Hot 100 charts reveal Drake‘s ‘Nice For What’ is clinging tight to the top spot for a sixth non-consecutive week.  Keeping new challenger, Post Malone & Ty Dolla $ign’s ‘Psycho,’ at bay, ‘Nice’ leads a list of Hot 100 hip hop heavyweights with his own ‘God’s Plan’ at #3 and former chart-topper, Childish Gambino‘s ‘This Is America,’ at #4.

Speaking of ‘God’s Plan,’ with the cut having logged 19 weeks on the chart in total (never falling outside of the top 3), this week saw it become the first and only song in history to accomplish such feat.  And, while that alone is enough to celebrate, the continued reign of ‘Nice’ over the Hot 100 has yet again put Drizzy in the company of music royalty.
