Ella Mai officially nabbed the title of “Grammy winner” last night, after taking home the honor of Best R&B Song for ‘Boo’d Up.’

But not one to rest on the laurels of her growing popularity, the British bred songbird nested on the Ellen stage today and offered up a live rendition of two of her notable numbers.

Both lifted from her self-titled debut, she performed ‘Boo’d Up’ and newest single ‘Shot Clock’ – the video for which has wracked up 12 million views since its release last month.

‘Bon Appetit’ beauty Katy Perry is the latest fashionista to get a taste of controversy due to allegations of racism from groups who assert the design of her “Rue Face slip-on loafer” intentionally resembles blackface.

BET’s extending an olive branch to Nicki Minaj after taking to social media last night (February 10) to ridicule the rapstress for having lost out on her Grammy nominations.

As we reported here, whoever was coordinating posts on behalf of the network’s social media accounts suggested the Young Money maven was upset at news her former nemesis, Cardi B, had become the first woman in history to nab the ‘Best Rap Album’ Grammy (click here to read more).  Once the news hit the desk of Minaj, she clapped back by asserting her label home would not longer be offering its artists to the BET Experience or its annual award show.

A spokesperson for the network quickly responded with an apology:

When Cardi B became the first woman to win the Grammy award for  Best Rap album she also picked up the award fans of the late Mac Miller would earn posthumously.

This is why fans of his ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande believed a tweet she published at the time of Cardi’s win was directed to the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper as a diss.

She has now revealed that it wasn’t.
