Award season is upon us!

And the latest, and one of the most prestigious, is the BRIT Awards 2024.

Nominations for the UK’s equivalent of the GRAMMYs were announced moments ago and sees RAYE lead with 7 nods. The tally also brought with it major listings for the likes of Dua Lipa, Kylie Minogue, SZA, Burna Boy, Tyla, and more.

Beyonce‘s mom was a trending topic after liking a post from someone  bemoaning the ticket prices of the Pop legend’s forthcoming ‘Together Again Tour.’

The move sent some corners of the internet into a tailspin with unfounded conjecture leading to a growing pile of speculation surrounding the sentiment between both camps.

However, in a brief but direct address, Miss Tina extinguished the noise with a clear explanation.

Found aboard Anycia’s debut EP, the October 2023-released ‘Extra,’ ‘Outside’ boasts production from famed music craftsman JetsonMade.

‘The Color Purple’ has been wowing audiences for decades and looks set to thrill for more to come thanks to its latest revival.

Reimagined as a musical movie, the beloved tale – which centers on sisterhood and overcoming – has stormed the US box office and earned accolades in earnest. Indeed, the Blitz Bazawule-directed production has been nominated for a plethora of awards – including an Oscar.

Ahead of its UK release on January 26, That Grape Juice‘s Maya Egbo caught up with Taraji P. Henson, who opened up in earnest about playing Shug Avery, sisterhood with castmates Fantasia Barrino and Danielle Brooks, and drawing strength from her own mother.

We also sat down with director Bazawule and producer Scott Sanders, who dished on reigniting Alice Walker’s story for a whole new audience.

‘Over and Over’ singer Kim Burrell has found herself making headlines again for delivering what many are deeming a problematic sermon.

The embattled icon, who infamously endured backlash in the past for publicly condemning the LGBTQ+ community, later found herself on the defense for slamming fellow Gospel diva Yolanda Adams and dissing unattractive churchgoers.

Despite managing to dodge controversial headlines all through 2023, the GRAMMY-nominated songstress hasn’t exactly had that luck in 2024 as a video of yet another concerning sermon has hit the Web and sent critics into a frenzy.

It’s been nearly 6 months since Travis Scott first rocked the Billboard charts with his long-awaited fourth studio album, ‘Utopia,’ but – if his continued promotion of the project is any indication – he’s far from done with the era that supports it.

Just a day after fans learned Scott will be among the big names taking the stage at the 2024 GRAMMYs (as we reported here), the 32-year-old lifted the lid on news ‘Utopia’ favorite ‘I Know‘ would be the latest cut from the LP to get the video treatment.

“Tell me, is you still up? (Up) / It’s 5 AM and I’m drunk right now / Tell me, can we still f-ck? (F-ck that sh-t) / One of one, I’m in the zone right now,” he raps on the Coleman-produced song’s chorus.

Tapping legendary director Dave Meyers (who he previously collaborated with for the ‘Sicko Mode’ and ‘Stop Trying to Be God’ music videos), hop inside to peep the official ‘I Know’ clip co-starring actress-model Emily Ratajkowski.
