The diva supreme diva made a colossal comeback last night at the Beacon Theater after being forced to cancel the first few dates of her ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You Tour’ due to a throat infection.

Sounding more pristine than she has in a while, Mimi took flight with festive hits such as ‘Joy To The World’ and ‘When Christmas Comes,’ as well as much-loved numbers like ‘We Belong Together’ and ‘Emotions.’

Cardi B has defied the odds by bulldozing all limitations placed on her by others. So much so that she reigned atop of the Billboard Hot 100 with the omnipresent ‘Bodak Yellow’ for three weeks this Fall.

And while a growing collection of collaborations have kept her name hotter than ever, anticipation continues to build for the track’s official follow-up.

Gaining traction is suggestion that a cut called ‘Cartier Cardi’ is the song in question.

Reportedly due for a December 15th drop, the 25-year-old previewed the track during a sold-out concert in Manchester, England last night.

For, the super-producer has revealed that he believes Cardi’s hit ‘Bodak Yellow‘ ascent to #1 after it booted Swift’s ‘Look What Y0u Made Me Do’ from the top spot proves that the latter is one of many Pop stars struggling to find durable hits.

Yesterday brought with it the Pop star’s 36th birthday and she took to Instagram to celebrate in song.

Spears tackled Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ acapella. She told fans:

I’ve always wanted to do a performance like this… singing in a pretty little black dress, with a simple 360, one take shot! I figured since it was my birthday, why not go for it?! So boom ? When the clock struck 12:00, I did it!!! Thank you all for the beautiful birthday wishes, and for letting me do what I love. I appreciate you more than you will ever know!!!!

Welcome to Retro Rewind, the TGJ original feature carved out to celebrate TV and Film’s brilliant past.

On the agenda today? A fresh look at the African-American medical series ‘City of Angels’ and the impact it made in the lives of its stars and audience.

The series followed the dramatic lives of doctors and nurses working in a hospital in Los Angeles and was delivered to CBS by ‘Hill Street Blues’ writer Steven Bocho.

In it, Vivica Fox, Viola Davis, Gabrielle Union, Hill Harper, Maya Rudolph and more delivered moving performances each episode much to the delight of CBS who ordered a second season shortly after its premiere episode hit the ground.

For Davis the show’s run stands as one of the most important points in her life…because it is where she met the man who would go on to become the love of her life.
