Issa Rae is fed up.

Widely hailed as a trailblazer, the budding mogul adapted her internet-born ‘Awkward Black Girl’ show into the TV phenomenon ‘Insecure’– serving as the lead star, writer, and producer of both titles.

In the time since the latter wrapped, Rae has continued to charge forward – nabbing big roles in Hollywood and, perhaps most crucially, expanding her creative output by way of helming new shows such as ‘A Black Lady Sketch Show’ and ‘Rap Sh*t.’

However, a mere matter of weeks after the Max show was canceled after just two seasons (and months after ‘Sketch Show’ suffered a similar fate), the 39-year-old has poured out her frustrations about the climate that Black-led shows find themselves. Megan Thee Stallion has earned praise aplenty from the masses for the stinging “Megan’s Law” reference in Hiss (her recently released diss track reportedly aimed at Nicki Minaj, Drake, and others), but there are a few who haven’t exactly given the GRAMMY winner a round of applause for the lyric.

Chief among the latter group is Richard Kanka – the father of the child the bill is named after.

Rita Ora has long proven to be versatile and the media multi-hyphenate showcases this again on her latest single, ‘Shape of Me.’

Housed on the star’s latest album ‘You & I,’ the refreshed version of the track sees the chart-topper team with her fellow coach on The Voice Australia, Keith Urban, for a collaborative take on the Country-kissed cut.

Announced in tandem with Ora’s mom’s 60th birthday, the songbird shared that the song has a personal significance. She wrote:

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM! We’ve been through everything together. You’ve always been such a beautiful inspiration in my life and in my music. I wanted to write a song about you for the longest time, so when Shape Of Me was written by me and the You & I writing squad for my album and released, I was finally able to share so much that I’ve been feeling about you. It really became clear how much love you’ve shown me and how much you’ve taught me over the years!! SO, what better way to say HBD then to share a new version of it with the AMAZING Keith Urban. He helped me make it that much more special as this song is also showing appreciation to all the women in your life! So surprise mum this one is for you! Happy 60th!”

Urban added:

“When I did The Voice with Rita we just clicked right away. She’s great energy to be around and she’s a bad ass singer. So, when she sent me this song and asked if I wanted to sing with her on it, I said, ‘Can I play guitar too?.’ I love how it turned out!!!”

In toasting the release and its familial anchoring, Ora shared a montage visualizer comprised of  VHS home movies.

Nicki Minaj is continuing to unleash her fury on Megan Thee Stallion following the release of the femcee’s viral smash ‘Hiss.’

The Houston native didn’t hold back on the track, taking aim at those who’ve had her name in their mouths – from male rappers with BBL scars to anyone who has a problem with ‘Megan’s Law.’

Minaj, who has referenced the latter, has taken particular umbrage and has been tweeting up a storm about the Hot Girl Coach. She notably demanded that the nemesis apologize to her “dead mother” and mocked the “bullet fragments” found in her foot after she was shot by a convicted Tory Lanez.

Now, in dropping more jabs at her rival, the ‘FTCU’ rapper also revealed that she’ll be dropping a diss track named ‘Big Foot’ imminently.

Justin Timberlake has been hard at work on new music and the result of those sessions left the Pop star with plentiful material.

As reported, JT’s first album in six years – ‘Everything I Thought It Was’ – arrives on March 15 and is preceded by single ‘Selflish.’

Ahead of settling on the final incarnation of the LP and its lead offering, the 42-year-old has revealed in a new interview with Apple Music‘s Zane Lowe that he “ended up with 100 songs” by the end of his recording process.

Elsewhere during the candid chat, the performer opened up about what folk can expect from the album, performing on Saturday Night Live, and more.

The interview comes amidst a firestorm of activity from fans of Timberlake’s ex, Britney Spears. Indeed, as reported, the “Britney Army” is mounting quite the offensive by running up sales of her song ‘Selfish’ to block sales of his like-titled offering.

While that “war” wages on, watch JT’s full sit-down on Apple Music below…
