Fall’s kicked off in a major way thanks to three of Urban music’s most highly anticipated releases – Ledisi‘s ‘Let Love Rule,’ Fergie‘s ‘Double Dutchess,’ and Jhene‘s ‘Trip’ – all dropping on the same day (September 22).

For fans of soulstresses Ledisi and Jhene, who both released their last opuses in 2014, the wait was certainly nowhere near as long as that for fans of Fergie who waited over a decade since her 2006 since debut solo offering, ‘The Dutchess.’

Despite the differences in wait time, the fever for new music from the ladies respectively seemed to be on par:

At long last.

Today brings with it the release of Fergie‘s sophomore album ‘Double Dutchess.’

Billed as a “visual experience,” the set sees the Black Eyed Peas singer pair every track with an accompanying video.

In the weeks and months preceding its arrival, Fergie-Ferg offered previews with the clips for ‘You Already Know (ft. Nicki Minaj),’ ‘Hungry (ft. Rick Ross),’ and ‘Like It Ain’t Nuttin”.

To mark the unleashing of the LP in full form, she’s made even more available online. Namely ‘Save It Till Morning,’ ‘Just Like You,’ and ‘Enchante’ which features a special appearance from Kendall Jenner.

Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage serves up a taste of ‘Sugarcane’ on her brand new EP.

A huge star on the African continent with hits such as ‘Kele Kele’ and ‘Love Me,’ the Mavin Music wonder also attracted global attention after crafting tracks for the likes of Monica and Fantasia.

That multi-faceted appeal attracted JAY-Z’s Roc Nation, who signed a management deal with Nigeria’s “Doro Diva” last year.

Steadily building a name for herself on a global scale, Savage will be releasing a new album next year.

To whet appetites though, she’s released this project. Speaking on it, she said:

“I actually never planned to release anything before my official album drops next year so this is a surprise for my fans. I have been in such a great space in the studio and I’ve been creating so much music so it felt right to put out this project. The title is Sugar cane because the music sounded different and sweet to me. With Afrobeats music, I can’t explain it in words you just have to listen and experience the magic.”
