‘Mean Girls: the Musical’ star Renee Rapp is keeping it all the way real about her friendship with Megan Thee Stallion.

In addition to collaborating on the song ‘Not My Fault‘ for the film’s official soundtrack, the music superstars have developed a mutual admiration that stems beyond professional – a stance that’s been reiterated all week as the two have been hot on the promo trail for the movie’s January 12 premiere.

If there’s ever any doubt how close the two have gotten, however, Rapp made headlines recently when she went all the way there in support of her GRAMMY-winning gal pal.

Fans and critics agree: Sexyy Red is easily one of the biggest music newcomers of 2023.

Love or hate her, the femcee’s raunchy brand of Rap helped her rise to the top of charts and headlines – even garnering attention from some of the genre’s leaders like Drake and Nicki Minaj.

Beyond preparing to deliver second child this year, a very pregnant Red (born Janae Nierah Wherry) took to Billboard’s digital magazine to talk about what else she plans to deliver musically in 2024, her cultural impact, and disdain for being pigeonholed into “p**sy rap.”

Could a ‘Girlfriends’ reboot be on the way? Kelsey Grammer is especially hopeful.

The TV icon, who executive produced the beloved sitcom was on hand at the 81st Annual Golden Globes – where he was plugging the ‘Frasier’ revival.

Naturally, we here at That Grape Juice had to quiz the trailblazer on the possibility of ‘Girlfriends’ following suit.

Speaking candidly, Grammer revealed to TGJ’s Shar Jossell that plans are already in motion.

Confirming that “we’re already kicking around ideas,” the 69-year-old expanded on what a return to ‘Girlfriends’ could look like 20 years on.

Anchored by Tracee Ellis Ross (Joan), Golden Brooks (Maya), Jill Marie Jones (Toni), and Persia White (Lynn), the show centered on the lives, loves, and losses of four friends.

As widely known, the series (which was created by Mara Brock Akil) was brought to an abrupt end after 8 seasons in 2008 amidst the writing strike at the time and as its housing network (The CW) moved in a different direction.

In the years since fans have continually called for a reboot of ‘Girlfriends’ – with Akil making clear that she would be up to heed the request if the right price was attached to the production.

As reported, the cast reunited for a surprise stint on ‘black-ish’ in 2019.

Here’s hoping there’s more to come from the ladies as a collective in the near future.

The year may have only just begun, but artists Stefflon Don and Jada Kingdom are already knee-deep in a scorching beef.
