One of the most prized R&B gems to have gained prominence over the last 30 years, Monica has enjoyed an illustrious career that’s seen her top Billboard charts, break music records, and amass a dedicated fan base on a global scale.

Yet for all the acclaim she’s garnered over the last three decades for her unimitable vocal stylings and unforgettable modern classics (e.g. ‘Why I Love You So Much,’ ‘First Night,’ ‘So Gone,’ and many more), Mo (born Monica Arnold) does not boast the industry recognition some of her peers can.

A circumstance the diva herself brought to light during a chat with ‘The Shop UNINTERRRUPTED Live‘ at its final tour stop in Atlanta.

Diddy‘s latest project, the September 15-released ‘Love Album,’ came as his first in 17 years and – if the critical acclaim showered on the project is any indication – it was worth the wait.

A 24-track affair assembling some of the biggest names in music including Mary J. Blige, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Summer Walker, 21 Savage, H.E.R., Jazmine Sullivan, and many more, the LP debuted at #19 on the Billboard 200 and continued his streak of top 20 placements for studio efforts (stemming all the way back to his first album – 1997’s ‘No Way Out‘).

Among the star-studded songs is the standout ‘Closer to God’ featuring Teyana Taylor.

“I’ll be ya future baby mama, teacher, lover, friend/ While I’m all of the above, you know I can’t pretend/ I’ll be your lioness, I’ll post up in your den/ I, sing it, bae/ Oh-oh, oh, I/ I get closer to God when I’m with you,” Taylor croons on the tune.

Granted an accompanying music video, the futuristic music clip – which arrived Thursday (October 12) – was directed by Teyana and sees the two portray passionate lovers who can’t seem to find each other over an unforgiving desert.

“Teyana is not just an incredible artist, she’s my sister,” said Diddy in a press release. “She has this undeniable force and raw emotion she brings to every project. When we began conceptualizing ‘Closer to God,’ her name was at the forefront of my mind. I had to convince her to come out of retirement, but I knew she would perfectly capture the spiritual essence and depth of the song.”

The star-studded ‘Trolls 3: Band Together’ soundtrack is shaping up to be one of the year’s biggest musical offerings.

Ahead of its parent film’s November 17 premiere in theaters, the companion album (due on digital shelves October 20) is already off to a great start courtesy of its lead single – the history-making NSYNC reunion track ‘Better Place.’

Capitalizing off that momentum, the project is already seeing more of its housed cuts released with the latest coming courtesy of another Timberlake-led effort: ‘It Takes Two.’

Featuring Pop diva Camila Cabello and Hip-Hop hitmaker Kid Cudi, the new tune was written by Mike Elizondo, Michael Pollack as well as Emily Warren and also includes vocal contributions from Anna Kendrick, Eric Andre, and Daveed Diggs.

“I didn’t know until I found you / Havin’ the time of our lives, it takes two (It takes two) / When I look up, the stars are brighter / Now I know everything’s bеtter with you (It takes two),” Cabello croons on the chorus of the lighthearted bop.
