‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ welcomed Pharrell Williams to its shores once again last night, inviting the ‘Senorita’ producer to perform his latest single ‘Marilyn Monroe’, two days after airing his rendition of ‘Happy’ on the show.

Though his live vocal lacked the charisma he usually exudes, his performance of the cut does make for an enjoyable watch, supported by a live band, two polkadot rocking backing vocalists and a crew of six backing dancers.

So, is there a time better than now for his camp to release the album’s title track, unlocking the track produced by none other than Rodney “Darkchild” Jenkins, and detailing the pressures of being trapped in a position he no longer wanted to be in, originally penned in 1999.

Adobe‘s Photoshop scores another glowing endorsement from Mariah Carey today, employing the tool to complete the Japanese album cover for her new LP, ‘Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse.’

Released minutes ago, the artwork above will be used to pull the icon’s Japanese lambs to the album when it hits the market on May 28th, led by the ‘Beautiful‘ single ‘You’re Mine’, which now edges closer to sales of 60,000 units in the US since its February 12th release!

Iggy Azalea lends her skill to a cinematic cause in spectacular fashion today, teaming up with Academy Award-winning composer  A.R. Rahman to create ‘Million Dollar Dream’, pulled from Disney’s May 16th release ‘Million Dollar Arm.’

On their collaboration, Rahman shared:

“It was fun to work with up and coming new talent like Iggy. She added a lot of zing to the Indian punjabish track we did for the movie.”

Yesterday saw shockwaves sent through the music and technology industries when news hit that media juggernaut Apple were on the cusp of completing the purchase of Beats Electronics from Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine.

The cost? A game-changing $3.2 billion.

According to multiple sources, the sale would see Apple not only acquire the renown Beats By Dre headphones line as part of the deal, but also the new and (fast) growing Beats Music streaming service.

Both company’s have stopped short of issuing press releases (just yet), however mega mogul Dre seemingly confirms the sale of the brand he founded in 2008 in a new celebratory video.

Surrounded by friends, including singer/actor Tyrese, the rapper toasts to his beginnings and status as Hip-Hop’s first-ever billionaire.

The 44-year-old appears in the publication to promote her new album ‘Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse’ which struts into stores on May 27th.
