Cardi B had her beloved fans, affectionately called #BardiGang, more than a little worried earlier this week when she took to Twitter to suggest she was considering self-harm.

Posting she wanted to “put in a bullet in her head” on Wednesday (October 18), the tweet came after a virtual fisticuffs with users on the platform who made jokes about her being “the only Mexican that don’t work hard” – an undoubted reference to the 5-year gap between her first album (2018’s ‘Invasion of Privacy‘) and its yet-released follow-up.

“IDGAF F-ck y’all … y’all can call me Mexican,” she said in response to the harsh criticism at the time. “[You can] bring me down and hurt my feelings talk sh-t about everything – that’s why I don’t release music.”

Taking to Instagram later in the week, the GRAMMY winner shared that she’s calmed down since the incident and supporters shouldn’t worry about her mental health.
