It’s been nearly a year-and-a-half since fans of Epix’s breakout hit series, ‘Godfather of Harlem,’ bid the show’s freshman season adieu, but their patience for its return is finally being rewarded with the official sneak peek at season 2.

Picking up right where its cliffhanger predecessor ended, the 1960’s-set drama’s sophomore run sees Bumpy Johnson (Forest Whitaker) battling the New York crime families for control of the lucrative and murderous “French Connection.”  His ambition will see him not only make enemies of Italian crime bosses, but also law enforcement and even Malcolm X.

A masterful and poignant dramatization of how the crime underworld and civil rights movement intersected during the time period, look inside to see what you can expect from the show’s next swing at the ratings bat.

Though ‘Sesame Street’ officially celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2019, producers at ABC feel it’s never too late to tribute the children’s show’s enduring legacy.

For over half-a-century, Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch, and the gang have topped TV ratings and made history for everything from teaching the fundaments of writing, reading, and arithmetic to tackling and packaging social issues in a way children can digest.  What’s more, they’ve courted some of Hollywood’s biggest names to help them along the way.

To toast the beloved series, TIME Studios and ABC thought it fitting to assemble even more of Tinseltown’s favorites to pay homage via a 2-hour TV special.

Although critical acclaim accompanied the return of the OWN flagship series, the combined powers of the competition (as well as power outages across the nation due to inclement wintry weather) proved too much for ‘Queen’ – ultimately discrowning the one-time ratings royal from its throne atop viewership tallies.
