The story of Baynard Rustin is set to be illuminated like never before. At long last.
One of most prolific activists of all time, the force forms the central focus of new Netflix-powered film ‘Rustin.’
Set to premiere next month on the streamer, the movie chronicles the unwavering spirit possessed by Baynard, who is played by Emmy winner Colman Domingo.
Unapologetic about who he was, Rustin never wavered on his beliefs or who he loved. A reality that saw him make history while (in many ways) being eradicated from it too. Until now.
Directed by 5-time Tony Award winner George C. Wolfe, ‘Rustin’ will celebrate the story of a man who dared to imagine a different world and inspired a movement in a march toward freedom alongside the likes of Martin Luther King Jr.
‘Rustin’ arrives in select theaters on November 3 ahead of its Netflix debut on November 17.

Over a month after introducing the warmly received ‘Spend the Night,’ R&B favorites BJ The Chicago Kid and Coco Jones have finally introduced the tune’s accompanying music video.
“Rollin’ around from the floor to the bed / Can’t get you out of my mind / You live free in my head / Stuck inside a lucid dream / Everything’s what it seems,” BJ sings on the dancefloor-ready groove.
Yeti Beats, who produced the tune, shared his elation about the collaboration at the time of its release.
“I’m honored to have worked on this collaboration inspired by classic soul duets. This record showcases both BJ and Coco’s unique soulful voices over an unexpected uptempo groove. Coco and BJ delivered a timeless R&B soul record we can dance to,” he relayed.

As music lovers continue to get acquainted with the Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Teyana Taylor‘s futuristic ‘Closer to God‘ music video, the former lifts the lid on the behind the scenes clip that shows how all the magic came to be.
Directed by Teyana, the visual – which supports the song of the same name found aboard Diddy’s latest LP ‘The Love Album: Off the Grid‘ – takes place in a majestic desert.
“Working on ‘Closer To God’ was a spiritual journey in itself,” said Teyana who previously directed Combs’ ‘Gotta Move On‘ music video. “The song’s message of love and divine connection resonated deeply with me, and visually representing that was a beautiful challenge… The video captures the profound sentiment of feeling divinely connected when in the presence of true love. It paints a picture of raw emotion, vulnerability, and the magic of finding someone who brings you closer to the divine.”
