Hollywood showed up and out for  TV’s biggest night – the 75th annual Primetime Emmy Awards which airs live tonight from Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater.

Hosted by Anthony Anderson, the FOX showing celebrates the excellent efforts of some of TV’s best and brightest, in front of and behind the lens.

But, before the telecast began handing out its coveted trophies, some of the night’s most talked-about moments had already happened on the red carpet.

The stars shone luminously at the 81st Annual Golden Globes.

That Grape Juice was on hand on the red carpet as the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Lenny Kravitz, Ericka Alexander, Kelsey Grammer, Blitz Bazawule, and more arrived in style.

Chatting it up with TGJ’s Shar Jossell, the collective opened up about the reverberating response to films such as ‘The Color Purple,’ ‘Rustin,’ ‘American Fiction,’ ‘Wish,’ and more.

Just as the 2023 Primetime EMMYs were delayed due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes so were the Creative Arts EMMYs that annually precede them.

After much anticipation, however, the latter’s two-night ceremony commenced Saturday (January 6) and ended Sunday (January 7) to toast the artistic and technical achievements in TV’s animated, reality, variety, short-form, documentary series, and specials genres.

Ahead of the show’s 75th annual edition airing on FXX on January 13, the second night’s winners have been revealed.

On Saturday night (November 25), the stars aligned for the Los Angeles premiere of Beyonce‘s ‘Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.’

Ahead of the highly anticipated concert film’s wide release on Friday (December 1), famous guests donned their best black and silver looks (an homage to the movie’s theme) and took to L.A.’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater at the headquarters of Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences for a private screening.

In addition to appearances from Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams and LeToya Luckett, big names like Lizzo, Halle and Chloe Bailey, Lupita Nyong’o, Tyler Perry, Janelle Monáe, Issa Rae, Niecy Nash-Betts, Gabrielle Union, Ava DuVernay, Coco Jones, Lena Waithe, Kris Jenner, Robin Thede, Jeremy Pope, Laverne Cox, and Marsai Martin walked the carpet.

Mariah Carey is unquestionably the Queen of Christmas, so fittingly the festive songbird has taken flight on the ‘Merry Christmas One and All Tour.’

Launching last night (November 15) in Highland, California, the show brought with it a theatrical production that spotlighted many of Mimi’s holiday hits including ‘Joy to the World,‘Silent Night,’ ‘Oh Santa,’ and of course the iconic ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You.’

Elsewhere on the bill, Carey thrilled the audience with showings of gems from her broader catalog including ‘We Belong Together’ and ‘Hero.’

Nearly 30 years after warming hearts with his debut holiday effort, the Platinum-certified ‘This is Christmas’ (1995), late R&B legend Luther Vandross will undoubtedly repeat the feat with the new project ‘Luther Vandross Classic Christmas.’

Released Friday (November 3), the three-song EP – lined with tunes ‘May Christmas Bring You Happiness,’ ‘At Christmas Time,’ and ‘At Christmas Time’ (a capella mix) –  arrived as a joint venture between Primary Wave Music and The Luther Vandross Estate.

“This is more than just a Christmas album, it’s a convergence of history, emotion, and the ever-present spirit of the holidays that Luther Vandross encapsulated in his music,” said Sean Lewis, Marketing Manager of Digital Strategy at Primary Wave Music. “In this specially curated EP, we invite listeners to become a part of a cherished journey, where rhythms and lyrics foster a renewed sense of connection and joy in this festive season.
