With his May 5-released LP ‘Subtract,’ global superstar Ed Sheeran completed his series of mathematical album titles.
And while that project didn’t fare as well as its predecessors did commercially (slipping off the Billboard 200 in just 15 weeks), Ed – having just wrapped the yearlong ‘Mathematics Tour‘ on September 23 – is already adding a new project to his prized discography: ‘Autumn Variations.’
Announced just a month ago, ‘Autumn’ the Aaron Dessner-produced effort boasts 14 tracks.
“My dad and brother told me about a composer called Elgar, who composed ‘Enigma Variations’, where each of the 14 compositions were about a different one of his friends. This is what inspired me to make this album,” he said about ‘Autumn.’ “I feel [Dessner] has captured the feeling of autumn so wonderfully in his sonics and I hope everyone loves it as much as I do.”

Despite canceling their ‘Str8 to the Klub Tour,’ rappers YG and Tyga are moving forward with their joint effort ‘Hit Me When U Leave the Klub’ by giving its housed cut, ‘Brand New,’ the music video treatment.
Directed by Jack Bridgland, the Vegas-set clip – which features a verse from Hip Hop heavyweight Lil Wayne – opens with an appearance from GRAMMY-nominated femcee Saweetie before launching into a gallery of eye candy.
“Burn through the money, diamonds dance like Usher / You ain’t gotta like it, but my b-tch gon’ love it,” Tyga raps over the sampled track which borrows elements from Rhymefest and Kanye West’s duet also titled ‘Brand New.’

Over 7 years after Justin Timberlake topped the Billboard Hot 100 with the inescapable ‘Trolls‘ soundtrack single ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling,’ the GRAMMY winner is looking to repeat the feat – this time reuniting all 5 members of the iconic boy band NSYNC to contribute new song ‘Better Place‘ to the ‘Trolls 3: Band Together‘ companion album.
“Just let me take you to a better place / I’m gonna make you kiss the sky tonight / Yeah, if you let me show the way / I’m so excited to see you excited,” the group croon on the Shellback-produced cut.
Arriving just two weeks after the fivesome turned heads with a surprise reunion at the 2023 MTV VMAs, the announcement of ‘Better’ sent longtime fans into a frenzy as rumors swirled an anniversary tour was on the horizon as it’s been 26 years since their self-titled debut album landed on shelves.
At writing, no official confirmation or denial of such plans have been reported.
As we await that news, hop inside to get acquainted with ‘Better’ – NSYNC’s first new song in over 20 years.
