When it comes to award show tributes, few can boast as many jaw-dropping performances as Patti LaBelle.

Having delivered some of the format’s most memorable honors to the likes of Aretha Franklin, Destiny’s Child, Mariah Carey, and more over the years, the Godmother of Soul has often been considered a “go-to” for a “bringing down the house”-style nod to some of music’s biggest names.

As such, it was no surprise the 79-year-old was called on to deliver the highly anticipated tribute to Tina Turner at the BET Awards on Sunday night (June 25).

By showtime, however, LaBelle’s ‘awkward’ rendition of Turner’s classic ‘The Best’ had viewers wondering if she was the best choice for the job.

Offset and Quavo have officially squashed their long-running beef to pay tribute to their fellow Migos member Takeoff.

In a surprise moment at the BET Awards 2023 moments ago, the pair took to the stage to perform a medley of the group’s hits.

The epic showing comes after a lengthy spell of estrangement between the stars – which predates Takeoff’s tragic death at just 28 on October 31, 2022.

Five years after Billboard typed her name in the #6 slot for 2018’s ‘Dirty Computer,’ singer-actress Janelle Monae sought to repeat the feat with the unveiling of her critically acclaimed fourth studio effort ‘Age of Pleasure.’

Just a week after Kiana Ledé brought her long-awaited sophomore album, ‘Grudges,’ to Billboard chart battle courtesy of The Heavy Group/Republic Records, the project will see some of its critically acclaimed content performed live for the first time aboard her forthcoming ‘Grudges Tour.’

The headlining effort is set to kick off in Denver on September 5 before trekking across North America to major markets like Baltimore, Toronto, Boston, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Nashville ahead of wrapping up in Chicago on October 12.

The ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season 15 has been bringing the drama from much of the cast at large.

This incoming episode will see the spotlight turn to the marriage woes between Drew Sidora and her husband Ralph Pittman.

As reported, the singer/actress/reality star filed for divorce from her tech entrepreneur hubby after 8 years of marriage.

And the undoing of their union will play out on RHOA.

In a newly unwrapped sneak peek of this Sunday’s episode, Sidora reveals that Pittman had banned her sister (and former manager) Allison from their marital home for years after a series of clashes. Now, in a bid to mend fences, she’s back.

Burna Boy adds a fresh dimension to his latest single ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ by way of a new remix featuring 21 Savage. 

The rapper joins the African giant on the track, which prominently samples Brandy‘s 1998 ‘Never Say Never’ classic ‘Top of the World.’

Speaking on the release of the remix, Burna beamed:

“[It’s] the gift that keeps giving!” 

The 21 Savage-assisted edition of ‘Sittin On Top Of The World’ arrives on the heels of two major moments for Burna: his history-making headline show at the London Stadium and UEFA Champions League Final performance alongside Anitta.
