The year may be drawing to an end, yet Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, and the producers of American Idol are ensuring 2012 goes out with a boom-bang-bang.

Easily in contention for Showbiz Story of The Year, the divas Idol showdown became a viral sensation this week. And with good reason too. The clip showcased an irate Minaj laying into icon Carey with bull-like anger after supposedly being provoked.

With light-like speed, the drama has seen two “sides” emerge: those who support Carey and those who vouch for Nicki and her “I don’t care who you are, don’t disrespect me” stance.

We plough through the auto-allegiances and assess the situation for what it is in this the latest episode of The Business. Hit ‘PLAY’ and be let us know what you think below…

In an era where sampling is all the rage, there are few better compliments than a song’s original artist endorsing its remakers.

Such was the fortune of R&B trio Stooshe, who saw the surviving members of TLC -T-Boz and Chilli-feature in their freshly released video for ‘Waterfalls’.

The retooled version of the 1995 classic serves as the latest cut to be lifted from the British belle’s self-titled debut  which arrives via Warner/Atlantic on November 12th.

So now, in celebration of her tireless efforts to spread peace and acceptance through this material, she is to be honored with the ‘LennonOn0Grant For Peace‘ on October 9th, Iceland.

Teasing fans just a little bit more of her overdue return, ‘Halo’ hitmaker Beyonce shined bright on stage tonight at hubby Jay Z’s finale concert (of 8) at the newly christened Barclays Center.

The finale, which saw its live stream on Youtube today, brought with it many surprises – but none matching the entrance of the Queen B.

Offering what is sure to be the grand closing to end all grand closing, B brings a medley of ‘Crazy In Love’ & ‘Diva’ to the stage, whipping fans into an instant frenzy.  See the commotion below:

The Mariah Carey PR machine shows no signs of stopping in the wake of her American Idol clash with Nicki Minaj this week.

Armed with her husband Nick Cannon and their adorable twins Monroe and Moroccan, the premium diva took the air in a ride on the Santa Monica pier in California yesterday. The 42 year old and her troop then posed for pics that would melt even the hardest of hearts.

We’ve said it before and will continue to echo the same; never underestimate the know-how of an industry veteran like Mariah. She hasn’t sustained this long on the merit of her (incredible) voice alone. Calculated photo opps like this ensure she’s painted as the victim, while Nicki continues the ratchetness on Twitter. Viewed this way, who’s really “winning”?

Just in case you weren’t aware, Brandy‘s ‘Two/Eleven’ hits stores October 16th.

Already well received via the scorching numbers ‘Let Me Go’ and ‘Put It Down‘, October 5th saw the star arrive in West Hollywood to perform material from the release.

Well rehearsed and arming those vocals, Brandy’s set left us hoping she’s booked a slot at the forthcoming ‘American Music Awards’. For, as you’ll see yourself, her new stage show is a sight all should behold.

Perhaps by way of her shortcomings as a vocalist, Jennifer Lopez remains one of Pop’s more underrated entertainers.

Unconvinced?

Feast your eyes on her performance of her Dance smash ‘Dance Again‘ on Germany’s ‘Wetten, Dass…?’, as part of the show’s 200th episode celebration.

Tulisa may be all sorts of Tesco Value, but it’d be hard to deny she upgraded (somewhat) for the cover for her debut solo album ‘The Female Boss’.

Indeed, while the title (like her career) is a giant “LOL”, she does look stunning in the shot above.

As for the LP’s material, the jury’s out. However, with the NDubz star having drafted in the likes of Rico Love and Diane Warren, we’re sure it’ll make an “interesting” listen.

Preceded by ‘Young’ and ‘Live It Up’, ‘The Female Boss’ arrives on November 26th.

As teased here over a month ago, much like his only #1 album ‘Chapter V’, dapper divo Trey Songz is looking to take a dive.

Undoubtedly hoping to make an overdue splash on singles charts and reignite interest in his quinary LP, the ‘Panty Droppa‘ drops ‘Dive’ – a visual which sees him traipse over awfully redundant familiar territory.

Filled with the same old softcore porn risque romps and sexual scenes that have made him famous, is ‘Dive’ what Songz will need to float back to the top of charts? You decide below:

While her rivals over at ‘American Idol’ battle it out with each other, Britney Spears seemed cool, calm and collected as she enjoyed downtime in LA on Thursday.

Snapped enjoying a Starbucks beverage, the ‘Luv The Hurt Away‘ singer was casually dressed making a phone call on her way out of the spot and into her vehicle, weeks before ‘X Factor USA‘ Season 2 kicks off with its live shows.
