Talk about going in and out with a bang!

Lily and Julianna were playing approximately no games with this cover and we’re not mad at them for it.  Soaring vocals, melisma executed with passion and precision, and last, but not least, the injection of their own personalities helped make this an enjoyable watch.

To cover a song delivered by the likes of powerhouses Jessie J and Ariana Grande is certainly no easy task, but these ladies stepped up to the plate.  Bravisimo!

Stanley Kubrick‘s ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ is the inspiration for Teyana Taylor‘s ‘Maybe’ visual, teased with behind the scenes footage released to BET‘s ‘106 and Park’ hours ago.

Will it be enough to support her debut album ‘VII’? She no doubt hopes so, going to great lengths to sell the video while on location weeks before the LP touches down on October 21st 2014!

Montell Jordan spoke his mind and bared his soul on TV One‘s ‘Unsung’ on Wednesday night, revealing that his battle with alcohol and his addiction to women almost cost him his marriage.

Though only half an hour long, his special on the series saw him give the world an honest take on the events that led up to his downfall, revealing that the success of single ‘This is How We Do It’ brought him drink and women “in abundance.”

Problematic, as these vices didn’t go unnoticed by a friend who threatened to tell his wife everything, forcing him to reveal secrets he hoped he’d never had to share.

‘Scandal’ actor Columbus Short has denied any wrongdoing after being arrested in Dallas, Texas at 2am on Saturday morning.

What prompted his latest run in with the law?

An alleged bar fight at ‘Katy Trail Ice House‘, a popular beer garden and restaurant in the city, coming after he pleaded not guilty to felony battery after brawling with another man in California.

Now watch him explain his supposed actions during an interview with ‘Access Hollywood’, taped hours after his latest legal woe took flight.

Though she may not be everyone’s cup of tea, Rita Ora stands at the forefront of Pop’s gang of newcomers…at least to us.

For, after committing a few fails on the fashion front last eyar, this year has seen the starlet up her game on all fronts to deliver an aesthetic just as young, fresh and as exciting as she is.

Interestingly, fresh and exciting are also the words we’d use to describe her set at this year’s ‘VG-Lista Topp 20 Rådhusplassen 2014′, giving us no choice but to applaud whoever was tasked with handling choreography, styling and creative direction.

We can certainly say yes to these ladies’ rendition of the infectious gospel tune.  It doesn’t hurt that they opted to have fun while doing it.  Relaying a magnetic wave of harmonies and handclaps to provide the song’s instrumentation, we couldn’t help but hurt the replay button on this!

Nice.

Receiving a mountain of submissions of covers of the tune, Desmond’s stood out for one simple reason:  it actually sounded good.  Offering sung/rap verses, his take on the tune certainly served mini-doses of TGJ favorite Elijah Blake.

Be that as it may, Dennis made the song his own. Do your thing boy, we ain’t mad!
