Forever, it seems, Apple’s iTunes has served as the front-runner in the digital music arena. Indeed, for many, the firm are majorly responsible for de-criminalising the notion of “music online”, using their marketing muscle to transform it into one of the most integral aspects of the modern music industry.

It’s only natural, then, that company after company would arise, positing an “iTunes-killer”. Yet, one gaze across the digital wasteland reveals gravestones for each one. And while some have escaped such fate (see: Amazon), Apple remain perched atop of the pack.

Not for much longer, if Google have their way.

Continuing to establish herself as the more “open” of the Knowles sisters, soul singer Solange shared shots of her with the most important men in her life – son Juelz and longtime boyfriend Alan Ferguson.

The pics, which the star revealed were shot while at a friend’s wedding, are the first many will have seen of her and Ferguson – a noted video director who is interestingly  behind the clips for Beyonce‘s ‘Party’ and ‘Dance For You’.

As one quartet of  Brit boy band  JLS,  Marvin Humes is without a doubt one of the UK’s more recognizable Pop entities.

Rising to fame three years ago when the group became the break out stars of X Factor 2008, subsequent years have seen Humes become just as renowned for his place in JLS as he is for his ongoing relationship Rochelle Wiseman of The Saturdays.

Now, in support of the quartet’s ‘Eyes Wide Shut‘ DVD, out in stores now, the performer has spoken candidly on life in the group, dishing on the pressures of fame, legal issues and dealing with female attention.

It’s been a tumultuous few years for R&B collective Day26. Indeed, after quick-fire success with their album and ‘Making The Band’ reality show, trouble rocked the quad when member Que was axed, and label-head Diddy left the fold.

Still signed with Atlantic (just no longer a joint deal with Bad Boy), the group hope to bounce back with their aptly titled 3rd studio album ‘A New Day’.

So as to build anticipation for the set (due 2012), Willie, Brian, Mike, and Robert their new online series, also titled ‘A New Day’.
