Last week’s episode of the X Factor not only saw the live show finalists announced, but also the reveal of a big ‘twist’. While it was widely believed the lid would be lifted on the “shocker” this weekend, ITV have sprung a surprise by disclosing it early. A move, no doubt, designed to ensure high ratings for this weekend’s premiere live shows.

The X-Factor USA is here!

Fox’s much hyped British import has finally kicked off on American soil and looks set to be the biggest show of its kind.

Featuring judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, LA Reid and Nicole Scherzinger, the show favours American Idol with its nationwide auditions. However, there is a defining twist in that groups and solo acts over 25’s are eligible to enter.

Unsurprisingly, with this being the boot camp phase, the talented and talent-challenged came out in equal measure for a crack at progressing to the next stage.

It’s here! The countdown to the premiere of pop superstar Beyonce‘s new visual ended today with the unveiling of ‘Countdown’.  The latest offering from the singer’s critically and commercially acclaimed fourth album ‘4’, the colorful clip sees the starlet pay homage to Hollywood’s golden age – namely channeling her inner Audrey Hepburn.

While the album has been mainstay on Billboard’s upper-half since its June debut (and up two spots from last week), will ‘4’ be on the rebound due to ‘Countdown’?  With baby bump co-star making a well publicized music video debut, get into the Adria Petty-directed action after the jump:

Kelly Rowland shimmers and shines in the video for ‘Boo Thang’ – a track by Verse Simmons she guests on.

The Gil Green directed clip was shot last month, and precedes Rowland’s own visual for new single ‘Lay It On Me’ – which is believed to be a matter of days away from premiering.

After scooping a whopping 4 gongs at the MOBO Awards 2011, singing sensation Jessie J capped off the night with a rousing performance of the song which started it all – ‘Do It Like A Dude’.

CBS’ ‘The Talk’ caught up with ‘Talk About Our Love’ singer Brandy today to chat about the recent happenings of her love life and career.  Touching on topics ranging from TV appearances (90210, Drop Dead Diva) to her upcoming R&B album and more , the 32-year-old R&B vet indicated fans should expect to see much of her in coming months.

The ‘Commander’ singer’s category (‘the Girls’) is hotly tipped to house the winner of the show, given that favourites Mischa, Ameilia, and Janet are under her pupilage.

In any case, judge for yourself this weekend when the X Factor continues on ITV1.

‘Superwoman’ singer Alicia Keys is definitely trying to live up to that title with her growing number of endeavors.  Already said to be working on the follow-up to 2009’s ‘The Element of Freedom’ and composing an original score for the upcoming Broadway play ‘Stick Fly’, Mrs. Beatz also recently brought her talents to the director’s chair for Lifetime’s ‘5’.

Just one day after Nicki Minaj‘s cover for  Cosmopolitan magazine made its way online, more snaps from the shoot have surfaced ,no more than a few hours after the Rapper’s ‘fiery’ collaboration with Willow Smith surfaced here.

Accompanying the shoot is a very telling interview which sees the entertainer reveal intimate details of her past, details which may come as news for even the most loyal of her supporters.
