While Mariah Carey‘s fashion sense often sees her spilling out, the songbird is ironically renown for keeping her private life under wraps.

As such, it comes as little surprise that Mrs Nick Cannon has kept her 6 month old twins –Monroe and Moroccan – out of the public eye.

However, that is all set to change next week Friday, when the diva reveals the interestingly named duo to the world in an exclusive 20/20 interview with Babara Walters.

The sit-down feature will see the singer and husband of 3 years Nick Cannon discuss married life, parenthood and more. Pending the interview’s air-date, you can check out a snap from it above.

It’s been a busy few months for Pop force Alexandra Burke.

A staple on the live circuit, the singer has actively been recording her second studio album – which will serve as her first under new label RCA.

We caught up with the X Factor winner at the star-studded Michael Jackson Forever tribute in Cardiff this weekend. There, the 23 year old talked it up with That Grape Juice about the LP, who she’s been working with on it, and when we can expect its release.

She also dished on her fondest MJ memories, as well as honoring him with a performance of ‘Scream’ at the event.

Since her principal was forced to admit her lipgloss was positively   ‘poppin’ back in 2007, Lil Mama‘s image in the public eye has been unfortunate to say the least.

From experiencing  a number of impotent releases  to becoming the butt of many a ‘gate crasher’ related joke after her iconic appearance at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, the ‘Scrawberry‘ sensation has had it very rough- very publicly.

Now she has given fresh thoughts on the matter.

For some, suffering two life threatening experiences within the space of four hours would be enough to exorcise  any thoughts of strenuous activity right out of them.

Yet it seems that not even two extremely serious seizures are enough to slow Rapper Rick Ross down, for reports indicate he plans to take to the stage this evening, just hours after he was released from a  hospital in Alabama.

If something isn’t broken don’t try to fix it“.

Sure to appease many of Nicki Minaj‘s support base, the above seems to be train of thought behind the creative process of her upcoming LP, that is- if comments made by producer Kane Beatz are anything to go by.

Responsible for producing the likes of ‘Dear Old Nicki‘ and the smash hit ‘SuperBass’, which both feature on the Rapper’s debut cd, he has confirmed that he has signed on to work on her sophomore album just months before its release.

“Age ain’t nothing but a number. Age ain’t nothing but a thing”

Pop superstar Janet Jackson continues to show that you’re only as old as you feel. For, as her latest promo shots for Blackglama highlight, she remains ever-ripe – even at 45. Her ‘What Becomes A Legend Most?’ snaps for the fur firm simply get better and better.

The youngest of the Jackson clan is currently on the second leg of her worldwide ‘Number Ones Tour’, which when wrapped is set to have grossed well over $50 million. Not bad for an ‘intimate’ trek. Not bad at all.

Pop force Jessie J looks all flavours of fierce in this new promo shot for Pretty Polly tights. The leggy ‘Price Tag’ singer was chosen by the firm to front their new Statement line.

Speaking on J’s enlistment, Polly’s brand director David Hinchcliffe said: “She’s got awesome style, but her attitude as well as her persona make a terrific choice for our collection”.

The 23 year old’s foray into fashion is occurs as she intensifies her charitable efforts. Indeed, J this week helped launch Capital FM’s Help a Capital Child Appeal – which serves to help teenagers battling cancer.

Kudos to Jessie for continuing to build a brand that is both edgy and educating. More power to her.

The 90s R&B teen scene was already well occupied by the Brandys and Monicas of the world by the time then-18-year-old Mya came into play.  Sporting a soft soprano and street savvy dance moves, fans were introduced to what looked like Aaliyah’s distant R&B cousin.  However, time would prove Ms. Harrison to be more than a spinoff.

With her debut single boldly professing ‘It’s All About Me’ with fellow diva-in-training Sisqo, Mya blasted onto charts with a slew of R&B top 10 hits.  Then after her 2000 sophomore smash ‘Fear Of Flying’ soared up charts and yielded her signature #1 hit ‘Case of the Ex’, the ‘Movin’ On’ songbird was quickly moving into becoming a formidable force across multiple genre tallies – still following Aaliyah’s archetype of harmonizing with hip hop hitmakers (see: Jay Z, Jadakiss).  But, it would be her enlistment on 2001’s remake of ‘Lady Marmalade’ featuring then-rising Pop starlets Christina Aguilera, Pink and Rap queen Lil’ Kim that cemented the R&B star’s view on the Pop telescope.

And while the song’s tenure on charts did raise ‘Mya awareness’ in other arenas, it ushered in a dilemma as well.  Could she follow-up the joint effort with her own solo success?  The subsequent ‘Mizzaundastood’ and ‘Stripped’ eras of Pink and Christina‘s respective careers may have lifted them to new heights, but Mya’s ‘MoodRing’ failed to strike a similar chord with fans.  Its respectable chart entry and ‘My Love Is Like Whoa’ intro set it on the ground running initially, but just a few weeks later it had ‘fallen’ off charts faster than its second single – struggling to secure Gold status.

After a brief hiatus, the songstress returned with the Lil’ Wayne-assisted ‘Lock U Down’ from her fourth album ‘Liberation’ – which freely fell into obscurity.  This Japan-only release, followed by other albums of similar suiting, all indicated that Mya had lost her footing on US Pop charts.

So what’s the problem? Her sheer talent has kept her in mention with today’s top Urban divas, while movie and talent show appearances have, to some degree, kept her ‘celebrity’ alive.  But what we want to know is: were her previous chart shortcomings marketing mishaps or musical missteps?

You weigh in.  Product vs. promotion:  Have we seen the best of the ‘Best of Me’ songstress?  Or will the right product and/or promotion bring Mya back?
